i posted something similar but failed to get any helpful responses. i found some sprays that the main ingredient was garlic oil. I hear it is very effective against powdery mildew, and that is something that has really hurt my outdoor crop this season. Yesterday i smashed up a bunch of garlic and mixed with some water, then i applied it to the affected areas..hopefully it will work or atleast help.
One thing you can do for bugs is get ground cayenne pepper and mix with water in a spray bottle and apply.

sup surfd, well right now i dont have any bug or mold issues but i do have curling leaves on my 3 indoor plants. but im thinking this is due to poor ventilation? i got 4 26w daylight cfls and 2 fans in a closed space....

How hot does it get in there? I recently updated my veg closet from CFLs to t5 to combat heat and provide more even growth. I had 2 x 68w and 2 x 42w and it wasn't too hot. Have you ran this strain before? With all the different seeds available anymore sometimes a strain acts funny in the begining. How old/big are your plants? What set of leaves is twisting?

as of yesterday both the tips are a bit curled and dehydrated looking as well as the leaves giving a mutated look, ill put up some pics in 12 hrs or so. its not too bad and most of the damage occurs on the 3rd nodes up from the bottom set of leaves. and its been pretty hot in the area they grow since i put in another light. what kind of t5 should i be looking at for replacement, that sounds just what i need

Not sure what's best for your set-up, CFLs are nice and easy. No way to ventilate a little? Your just vegging then going out to flower right?

right, still gotta look for an undercover outdoors spot since my house is getting much too much rain for the ladies. and ive switched to 12/12 like a week ago and theres no signs of sexing, is this a problem because i added a stronger light in around time i switch the light cycle. will the plants take the more light and not flower?

ok heres my shanty grow shack. rough and tumble, 4 lights 2 fans 1 pvc strucure holding all together and finally my 3 babies approx 4-5 weeks of age. not sure why 1 is twice the size of the others. i think the smallers are/were going through a chemical imbalance the bigger one didnt. maybe the bigger one sucked up all the fresh moist air i just dont know. here they areIMG_0113.jpgIMG_0114.jpgIMG_0116.jpgIMG_0111.jpg the first pics are of the leave damages and the third is group shot and 4th is the whole show minus 1 fan and i just put in a bowl of ice water to keep temps down and moisture up

I have effectively used a combination of neem oil and dr. bronners soap sprayed on powdery mildew, works really well. Garlic, onion, chillis can all be blended up with water, or steeped and strained and sprayed as all purpose deterrent. Neem oil actually disrupts the life cycles of the bugs, they forget to eat and screw. If you want to get really gnarly with an invading hoard of the same type of bug, hand pick a bunch of them, toss em in a blender w/ water, make bug juice and spray it on your plants. soaking cig butts or some tobacco in water overnight and spraying that on bugs will definitely kill them, very potent stuff. Oh yeah, another good product to use is neem pellets, made from the pressing of the oil and sold as an organic fertilizer. Mix that into your holes and not only are you adding nice nutes, you are adding a slow release bug defense system that actually gets uptaken into the plant! There are many, many more organic pest solutions, dig into whatever problem you are having and surely you will find some organic way to deal.

However, my personal opinion gained through experience is that the best defense against bugs and diseases are HEALTHY PLANTS. Make sure that your babies have rich organic soil, ample moisture, and are generally well taken care of. Pests attack plants that have compromised immune systems and defenses, just like us humans. Grow big strong plants and the bugs will pick on someone else!

Since this thread already exists, can I ask if anyone has a control for leaf spot that can be used in the 4th week of flower?
