Supplementing CO2 and DWC

Anyone supplement CO2 and run DWC? How do you balance the need for higher heat and maintain proper water temps?

I have a 1/3HP chiller but its expensive to run and hard to calculate costs since the draw is so variable.

I guess I could try a different growing style

run the chiller on one of those kill a watt monitors and you can see how much it's costing you.

Yeah I plugged it into one it ranges from 400w to 800w so hard to pin down to see if its worth it or not. Guess ill just pull the trigger and find out

Can't you set the kw/h cost on those things?

I to run a chiller in a RDWC 17g system. I found i save a couple $ by insulating the grow buckets, res, with the reflective 1/4 in bubble insulation. I keep the water temp. at 68’ and chiller doesn’t run so much now.

I too thought about electrical costs so I'm using one chiller for 2, 12 bucket RDWC gardens.
(3 chillers with 3 cooling rez for 6 gardens total)
I'm almost done building flower Rm#2.
