Supercrop below a FIM or TOP

Hey RIU,

Quick question, been searching the Web haven't had luck finding an answer to a specific question.

Is it fine to supercrop the main stem below a top or fim?

Or would it be better to wait for the fim growth and use that as the SC line.

Cheers

I LST and super crop every branch, I FM my clones to create more shoots and more lower growth. Then I am training my plants to have a "flatfish" canopy.
I have never flowered a plant that I didn't Veg for at least 60 days minimum.
Some went as long as 7 months in my Veg to create 50 plus tops and 8 dry ounces from a single plant.
Bless,

Yea so if you if you fimmed at the fifth node and you supercropped before that you would be cracking the main stem? I guess you could, but you may lose your whole plant if you push it too far. I wouldn't advise this. Maybe LST her by tying down the main stem and letting new shoots grow tall and then supercrop them.

I generally supercrop to shape my plant and slow down growth on certain branches. It definitely seems to yield bigger buds on those branches that were supercropped.

I did it just recently actually. It's my first grow. It works. I fimmed first because I wanted to control height on a Sativa and then 2 days later I realized it wasn't going to be enough so I went down and supercropped them about 6" down from the fimmed top (I had a 12" plant)

The plant will want to heal it's stem first so it will attend to that before regrowing the FIM. Keep this in mind because if I had known that I would have supercropped first and then fimmed for faster fim growth with the supercropped(healed) stem.

Here's what it looks like supercropped,IMG_4729.JPG (You can see two big knuckles on that branch bent towards the wall) and then the fim growing after the stem recovered IMG_4730.JPG IMG_4732.JPG

Should be totally fine
