Well you are lucky to live in cali or whatever.... You're so lucky.... I wish there were Hydro shops that sold roots organic, fox farm, or Bio and all that stuff......If i were to want to order all that online, and get it shipped to my place it would run me 6-$700.... Fking sucks that that stuff isnt available in more known places like walmart, target, home depot or lowes........ Does anyone know of a good organic soil and subs that can be bought in those places mentioned for making super soil?..... Or should I ask... Is there any way to make soil into soil that mimics roots organic's soil?..............

Plus... There's been alot of youtube vids of people dissing Roots organic for reusing their soil.. Saying they've found fan leaves in the bags.. and also buying bags of their soil that is infested with gnats, and that if it isnt infested already, that it is very prone to bug infestation... And when they contacted Roots about the matter, and if they could someway fix this issue, that they are very rude, and they plain and simply said "NO!"...(yes... In CAPS)...... It's a well respected youtuber who said this, so I dont think he'd be blowing smoke.. But, still.... I wanna try it, and see for myself!.... I really dont care about yield anymore either... I really am in it for the taste, and DANKNESS! as sub likes to say it :D

So... Anyone know of any subs on making some of this soil?..... Why dont they sell dry bricks of their soil, like many do with coco, so people who buy it online dont have to pay so much for shipping, when the weight you're paying for is basically water?.... SHIT!.... I CAN ADD WATER..... JUST ADD DRY SOIL! (or is there a reason why water is added? aka method for the madness?)

I know people have mentioned that Bugs get transferred in shipping but also dirty hydro shops don't help!

One load of Super soil does 3 full crops for me not re using it I do not recommend re using.
200$ is to much to invest on a few good crops you will never be a good grower farming takes work and investment.
The same regime in AN runs 1400 per crop.
WORD

I can attest that supersoil is the ONLY way....so easy...so much better tasting weed. Man my last few plants are just amazing and the taste and amount of dank per plant is almost double from my floranova grow.

Heres a pic for ya...it speaks for itself man. Look at this ak48.....I snapped that pic like 3 days ago. I still have 2 weeks left on that plant. I have only been growin for just over 1 year so take what I say for what its worth. All I know is if I thought I could have been growin like this I would have been doin this 25 years ago and 50 grand spent on ounces over that time period.

By the way sub I just ordered my first vortex from the attitude. Along with chocolope kandy kush sensi star and another skunk #1 from paradise I think.

Good post man. Well said. I have a friend who just switched over to the super soil and comments nearly everyday to me about how amazing his plants are doing. He too has only been growing for a year.

I can take a hint from the Marijuana Gods though. I think I have to give SS a shot :D

You could just make 3 more batches of Supersoil less the epsom salt and mix it with your original batch to correct your mistake.

From what I have read I should add lime and test the PH until desired levels but with every action there is a reaction (Like mixing SS Stoned) so don't want to add anything until I know for sure.

Already saw the question and dont know the answer cause I have never added that much.
Generally if I don't answer a question right away it means I don't have a clue.

I do try and find my answers before I post a question so I guess thats my answer. I went ahead and added more lime to each of the 3 55 gal garbage cans and will re mix in two weeks just to be sure it gets mixed in well. I will then let it sit for two more weeks and take a small amount and flood it with PH'd water and check the PH from the drain and adjust accordingly.

Peace

Where I live east coast the Roots is 23.00 a bag and so is the BioBizz my total cost was around 325.00 for all of the stuff. I guess it is because of shipping but it will be well worth the investment when all is said and done.

Just finished making a batch of supersoil about an hour ago. I used 8 bags of Happy Frog but was worried since it doesn't use coco coir; we'll see how it goes. This will be used on my first grow. :) I didn't have much problem finding the ingredients and added about a 1/3 of bag of coarse perlite. In honor of Subcool I will be growing some Vortex amongst Super Lemon Haze, Tangerine Dream, Trainwreck and some C99. His Astroboy (watermelon pheno) is one of my favorite sativa-dominant hybrids.

The mix totally filled two 50 gal rubbermaid trash cans. If you would average 3.5 gal of supersoil per 7 gal container I figure you can grow about 28 plants. At 7 plants per 1000w that should be about 4 grows.
Happy frog is not even remotely similar to Roots, not even close. Nutrient profile is way off, water retention, aeration, just all waaay off.
