Super Soil Results

wow nice and crystally!! whats the genetics on that smh? those plants are made for supersoil, what size pots are you in?

im having a prob with premature yellowing on one of my vortex phenos, they are getting kinda yellow at week 5, id like to keep em lush and green till at least week six, i think the prob could be in my pot size of 3 gal, but then again my other vortex pheno stays green and lush till week 8 but shoots out a stamen or 2 during week 3 (im guessing because of my heat and problem with hotspots) it results in prob 20-40 seeds per half# so no big deal in my book. i gotta keep both for now, vortex is so bomb, cant wait for my plushberry to be all grown up.
solution to yellowing. you should supplement with some sugars!!!!! i use molasses. often, plants need some 'sugars' right around day 30+. you will find that subcool also supplements with sugars around this time. (if his plant dictates he needs, dont go over feeding...)

The "sugars" aren't for the plant, they're to feed the microbes in the soil.

I'm growing 3 Blackberry & 1 Blackjack in Super Soil. All plants look great but 1 Blackberry which is doing exactly as you described with your plant (turning yellow at an early stage). I know the soil is good because only one plant out of 6 attempts have done this too me. I've experienced the same thing growing from seed using hydro. Just a bad plant.

It's The White x Fire OG and they're in 5 gal pots.

yes, wait for the 12/12 after transplant. approx two weeks. you dont want to throw your plant into flower after stressing it from a transplant. subcools strains also yield much better with a little increased veg time.

Soil is easier to understand, much easier. Mix, feed with water. Only supplement feed if you see plants have see visible nutrient deficiencies or know you plant well.

Also, see subcools section on Super Soil. It answers all your questions in there. and pretty much any future super soil question you have.

but really, mix, let it 'cook', water, harvest fantastic buds.
Appreciate it, I'll be a little more resourceful - sometimes it's hard to 'weed' thru all the posts for a right answer. Thanks!:-P

This is my first post on this thread, I would like to say that this is my favorite thread on RIU. I am just not patient enough to wait for the final result but I think it looks good enough for the thread!! My soil recipe was greatly inspired from Subcool's, I just went with the ingredients I could easily find locally while keeping the blood meal out of the list of ingredients. My soil recipe is in the first page of my grow journal.

It's my second grow and there is no doubt in my mind now that the organic supersoil is THE way to go for growing cannabis. I cannot wait to taste the best weed I have ever smoke!! I got 3 plants in the scrog, Grapefruit to the left, BlueMystic in the right corner and the AfghanKush is on the edge. If they are on schedule they should be growing for another full 30 days.

Cheers :leaf:

EDIT: the close up buds are the most frosty, also the smallest. They are from the Afghan Kush under the LED (it gets as much HID light as the other 2 only it has the LED right next to it.)

Here is some bagseed genetics(White widow, or bubblegum based possibly?) I have grown for a few years, large yielder, Supersoil brought out the best in this one. Demotivating high, don't want to go anywhere after smoking this.

Those are some nice pics guys. I just made my supersoil about a month ago and you guys got me excited to use it. Thanks SubCool for the recipe! Im switching over to soil from COCO cuz its more of a hassel to grow in coco. Im not saying it bad Ive been getting great results but its just more work than I want. I checked on my batch of SSoil and behold I saw a whitish film over the top of the soil. Is that OK to have. I never seen that before. I was talking to someone and said that was ok.

I'm doing the same strain from Sannie, and these results are not encouraging...glad I'm doing some skunk and NL as well. I have done some reading on this strain, and apparently it prefers an outdoor lighting cycle during flowering for best yield. Indoors it prefers 14 hours for 2 weeks, then 13 for 2, then 12 the rest of the way. I'll try that and post the pics. Although I don't use all of the supersoil ingredients, I'm close enough to it for an apple/apple comparison. The strain turns purple when temps are allowed to drop, particularly night temps...not sure if that was the cause of yours' changing.

Happy New Year!

The white film is good.....it's a result of the beneficial microbes at work.....
