How much do you need to make? What size pots? Is it going to be from seed to harvest or are you transplaning into it?

Recipe (makes 100 gallons):

8 - 1.5 cubic ft bags of high-quality base soil
1 - 30lb. bag of Worm Castings
2.5 lbs. Fish Bone Meal
5 lbs. High Phosphorus Bat Guano
5 lbs. Blood Meal
2.5 lbs. Bone Meal
3 cups. Oyster Shell
3 cups. Kelp Meal
3 cups Alfalfa Meal
3/4 cup Epsom Salt
1 cup Garden Lime
2 cups Azomite
2 TBS powdered Humic Acid

Cut the recipe in half obviously, let it sit for 6-10 weeks when done before using. Start by looking at Bustan Hydro, I know theyre in Toronto. There's also a thread pinned to the top of the Canadian patients section with a list of Canadian suppliers, you should be able to find everything you need there and be able to price shop. Best of luck. Happy Growing!

Thanks for your help! I will start looking into it. Still open to anyone else who may know where to simply purchase it pre made.

Its a bit harder to find but its out there. And you'll get far less for the cost of making your own. You can always save time by growing with organic nutrients if it's the route you're set on going until you source your super soil. General Hydroponics makes an organic fertilizer starter kit which doesn't cost a lot to get ya up and going. Especially if all you're growing is 4.

I noticed that fish bone meal and regular bone meal are on this list. Was that a mistake? They have very similar values. 2-16-0 for bone meal and 2-18-0 for fish bone meal. I dont mind spending the money I just want to make it right the first time.

I believe its due to the macro nutrients. Don't hold me to that though lol. I've never made it. I know Subcool actually has a supersoil thread on here somewhere that may answer that for you. The recipe I provided was the revised version he made a few years back

Thats a hot recipe with alot of duplicated stuff.

I personally like to use clackamas coots recipe, nice and easy and most stuff is readily available

Clackamas Coot's Recipe

1/3 Sphagnum Peat Moss

1/3 Aeration (pumice, perlite, lava rock, etc..)

1/3 Compost + Earthworm Castings

To each 1 c.f. of this mix I add the following:
1/2 cup organic Neem meal
1/2 cup organic Kelp meal
1/2 cup Crab meal or Crustacean meal
4 cups of Mineral Mix aka rock dust

Mineral Mix Recipe
1x – Glacial Rock Dust
1x – Gypsum
1x – Oyster Shell Flour or Agricultural Lime
1x – Basalt

you can buy this premade from
http://blackswallowsoil.com/products/custom-blended-mixes
or get all of the separate components from them and build your own.
