Yeah bro, whats your climate. If it’s cold keeps the roots warm. But man i fooked up this year too. Started in coco only… never again. Use potting soil mix of any kind and amend it with organic nutes. Your probably have tooo much light too at that stage. Back off the intensity. About 3000 lumens per sq foot. Im not a fan of blurple. So no idea how 3000 lumens translates. About watering i pull them from the tent, water until the run dry. So soak them good , wait till no more run off and put them back in.you can tell they get dry when the leave droop dowards. A couple days. I keep them around 75 degrees dont pay much attention to the humidity just check for they need water. I started week 1 on jan 6 and here is what they looks like so far, from seed. About 14” tall. Probably going to flower this week. After i transplant into larger pots. Currently 3 gallons. They take about 3-4 days to stabilize in my case.
I’d like to say this is the first time i buy seeds and plant them. Questionable… And I’m not impressed yet. The smells I nothing impressive and weak IMHO… hope it’s worth the time. My personal blend is much more aggressive growing and forgiving, definitely better smelling. Good luck buddy take care!

Climate has been 74-78 degrees when the lights are on, 65-68 degrees when lights are off. 35-50% humidity. I think I made a few mistakes that compounded each other, overwatering and transplanting too early.

Day 1 of flower, finally drying out quick enough the water everyday. Giving each plant about a 1/2 gallon each day, feeding every other day. Ph staying constantly at 6.0-6.1. I already know this is going to get super labor/time intensive but it is what it is. Next grow I'll stick with coco but going to do things a little different. Definitely had a few misconceptions going in only having ran rdwcs

Having this issues on a few girls. Is this a deficiency or nutrient lockout of some sort? It's only on the bigger fan leaves.
this could be from infrequent watering leading to salt build up and plant damage. I noticed you were letting your coco dry out.

Your plants are looking much better. I'm pretty late to the thread. But it seems youve figured out coco needs a precise watering schedule. When they young or transplanted to larger pots, Water less frequently. As they fill up the pot you increase watering. Keep up the good work.

I've been on a schedule of feeding 2 days, watering 1 day. Soon I think I'll have to feed 2 times a day and water in between feedings as well but lower the amount slightly per feeding. Right now still giving them about a 1/2 gallon each per day. I've had some rust here and there but nothing majorly concerning. Definitely excited about the remaining 7ish weeks considering the shakyness early on. Feel like the bud development is a little ahead of schedule compared to other SSH grows I've seen. I feel like it's reasonable to pull 2.5ish pounds of some solid bud. Wouldn't mind any input as far as that's concerned. Closest guess without going over, Price is Right style lol

you really shouldn't water coco with plain water. Every watering should be a feeding. Supposed to be a perk of coco. Just as any hydro grow. Nutes are used 100% of the time. Could be where your rust spots come from. Your EC gets messed with everytime you use plain water

This is just something to consider. Not me telling you your wrong or do it my way. Lol. Just clarifying that. As again. Your plants looking great

You're probably right, I'll try that for a week or and see it has an effect. I thought process was that it would help prevent salt buildup since I've given them pretty heavy doses of nutrients.

logical, but give this a read: https://www.cocoforcannabis.com/osmosisandec/

When EC is constantly fluctuating, the plants are constantly working to adjust. To receive water through osmosis, plants need to adjust the concentration of sugars within their roots. When the EC of the nutrient solution is lower than they are prepared for, they take in too much water and have to lower the concentration of sugars in their roots. Conversely, when the EC of the nutrient solution is higher than they are prepared for, they cannot take in sufficient water and have to direct their energy into producing sugars to raise the concentration in their roots. When the EC goes up suddenly, plants can suffer burn even at relatively low ECs because the roots are prepared for even lower.

The common practice of interval flushing in coco with one watering of nutrient solution and one watering of "plain", "pHed", or "CalMag" water should not be practiced because it results in unstable root zone EC and forces plants to constantly adjust. Keeping plants healthy and happy requires delivering a nutrient solution with a consistent EC at each fertigation event.

I to thought this at first. But watering with nutes is what flushes out old salt build up while replacing with new fresh. Looking forward to your next update

Good call on feeding every time. I think it's definitely had a positive impact, still have a few girls that are showing some rusty spots but I think they are just kinda touchy and I'll just have to battle that the rest of the way
