Super Lemon Haze

I'm gonna be growing Green House Seed's feminized Super Lemon Haze. I'm a big fan of sativa so it seemed like a good one to start with. I used to grow but stopped a few years ago. It just got to be to much work and life got to busy. Well market conditions being what they are around here I've decided to get back into it just on a smaller scale.

I'll be growing just a couple of plants using T5s for veg and a 400 bps for flower. Gonna give ebb and flood a try this time. I think it will be less work than my last hydro setup. I had planned on starting this last week but found mold and salamanders in my old grow area. Long story short I ripped everything out and rebuilt it.

Here's the current state of things.

Rooms got a good bit to go but so does the plants.

Hopefully they all pop pretty quick.

It's been a couple of years but I had a faster pheno (8 was) & a couple of slower phenols which were haze dominant which took longer to finish & the buds weren't as dense but potency was good in all phenos I have a friend currently growing slh I'll ask him what time his takes to finish he is growing e&f in rock wool & get back to you tonight but I know some of the Haley phenos can take about 10 was from the flip to finish

Seeds popped today.

Planted them in rock wool and put them in. Their new space.

Still got a lot of work to do. I'm planning on taking out that long table and splitting the space in half. I'll probably put tile in before I do. I've had it laying around for about 8 years so I might as well use I t up.

I'll be heading to the hardware store tomorrow to pick up the supplies I need to build my dripper setup for my veg side.

All that work will be worth it. A controlled environment is awesome, adding CO2 makes the bitches explode. I can't wait for the harvest, I miss the satisfaction of smoking my own stuff.

Good to hear. There are always gonna be haters no matter what the subject is. The seeds cracked in less than 24 hours which seems pretty good so far. I've paid far more for seeds than I paid for these and was dissatisfied with the final product. I guess it's always a gamble when it comes to growing.

I'll be building some custom tables and cabinets plus whatever I have to do for the system itself. I'm gonna try to build the veg system tomorrow so I can get to work on a table to accommodate it. I guess I'm gonna build something similar to Dr. Greeenthumb.

Looks good Herk, I've got a long time to wait to see something that nice around here.

All three popped some time last night and here's what they are looking like as of a few minutes ago. I'm running the light 24 hrs. a day. Partly because I haven't picked up a new timer but I may just leave it that way.

Looking good 24/7 light shouldn't hurt a thing I happen to be indulging in some slh right now you're off to a good start of some fun down the road easy to grow & a good product in the end you can't loose I'm a fan of those r/w cubes & veg in the larger blocks before finishing in the smart-pot/ coco setup

Well here's the current state of things.
Still running 24 hers of light.

I messed up by not soaking my rockwool before I used it so my ladies (hopefully) are a little jacked up. I wasn't sure the one on the right was going to make it but I think it'll be alright. Other than that they are doing pretty good. I put them in larger rockwool cubes because I haven't quite settled on the system yet. I've just been pouring a mild nutrients mix through them. I had to rebuild the roof on the back porch to make sure this little room stays dry. Now that that's done I'll knock the system build out this week end. I noticed a little fungus in the top of the wool today so I need to cut some Mylar.

I got my room split into the flower and veg rooms.

They are sitting in what will be the flowering area. I split the room before I built the system because of the temperatures the past couple of days have been low and the heater wasn't helping in a room with no doors. Once the door went up the temps started rising. Nice and toasty 75 degrees in there now.

I put in a pocket door to free up space. I still need to trim it out and put up the panel on the veg side.

Both room are about 47" x 52" I've still got wood to buy for the tables, cabinets and shelves I need to build.. Ventilation to install and more but all in all it's coming along.

Well these things have been nut burnt, based out of their mind, and everything in between. Got a new ph meter and things are better now. It's starting to look like all three of them are female. One is still questionable but since the other two have sexed already I figure it's probably female, here's hoping.

I took clones the other day. They kind of surprised me because after I got the ph problem figured out the exploded. Stems got thick faster than I anticipated and I snapped on when I was tying LSTing them.

I've about got my room complete and ready for paint. I got to trim out around the light and room ventilation. Got one more cabinet to build for both rooms and get a panel up.

I build the wall a 1/2" to close to the foundation wall so my hose is pinched a little bit but it beats running everything through the room.

I can't wait to close that walls I keep finding little surprises when I go in there.

I had to spend so much on the new porch roof and completely rebuilding the room, I had to go cheap on some of the equipment. The good news there is the humidity levels are way lower than they used to be. They used to stay 70% or higher down there. Now they are hovering around 45% and it's been raining most of the day.

I order a 400 watt digital ballast, some cheapo off amazon. Also got my co2 regulator and will pick up the a 20lb tank in a week or two. I've got a couple of 400 cfm fans I had laying around from last time. I'm going to pull air through the light from the veg room and dump it into the basement. Hopefully this will help change out the air in the veg room every day.

I plan on running co2 and venting the room every 3 hours unless the humidity stays under control then I may vent less. I ran 2 6" vent pipes for passive air flow back into the flower room.

I gotta say putting pocket doors in there was an awesome idea. Oh and sorry for the book.

Starting to look good in there. So you say your not running a sealed room and running co2? That seems strange.

It's precautionary. If humidity levels get to high I'm going to try to control it with ventilation before I go throwing a heat producing dehumidifier in there. They won't run all the time, just change the air out every couple to three hours. If it turns out the humidity levels stay were I need them I'll only exchange the air out at night, unless I don't even need it then. If that's the case. I'll push the vent hose in the wall and put in another cabinet.

No a/c, it's in my basement so it stayed reasonable cool into there before. Except for the hot summer months of July and August, were temps would get around 95 with a dehumidifier running. I'm hoping with the smaller 400 watt light and the humidity problem fixed (hopefully) I won't run into the heat issues again.

I finally got my flower room finished and ready to go. Plants were switched to 12/12 two days ago. I ripped some roots during the move but it doesn't seem to have hurt the plants. Light cycle runs 9 pm to 9 am. Humidity is getting to 70% with the lights off. I'm need to pick up another timer and I'll try to control it with my fans, if that doesn't work I guess I'll have to get a dehumidifier. Light on humidity runs around 40% and temps are about 75. I've been using a small heater to raise the temp to 85 to take advantage of the additional CO2.

I've ph-ing my res to around 5.9. I my have mounted my screen a little low but only time will tell. You can see a better pic in the thumb nail. They've been growing good and actually surprised me with a veg explosion. They were about 18" when I put them under the screen. image_zpseib5yo79.JPEG
