Super Lemon Haze, Blue Hash and AK Auto Grow

Hello everyone! I am giving soil a try for my 2nd grow. My last (Very first grow) was hempy buckets with 50/50 perlite and vermeculite. It has been a long time in between grows because the wife told me I had to get my MMJ Cert before I attempt my next grow. Hempy was an OK way to grow, but I had a slight nute burn issue using the GH Flora Series. My main problem was getting the seedlings to stay alive. I had (3) lowryder 2, (1) Anesthisia and (1) Tutankhamen seed(s) shrivel up and die on me. If it was'nt for the freebies I got from The Tude my last crop would have been a disaster. I plan to go 600W HPS when I can scrape some cash together but the t5s and Cfls will have to do for now. This is my set up:

6'X4'X4' Grow Tent
2X4X4' Bulb T5HO 6500 for veg and 2700 for flower
4X100W CFLs Veg and 4X200W flowering
Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil
FF Big Bloom and Grow Big Nutes Veg
FF Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom for flower

Right now I have a Sticky Pine clone (I got from a good dude) vegging, a SLH seedling that just broke the soil yesterday, 2 SLH waiting to sprout, 1 blue hash waiting to sprout, 2 AK47 Autoflower and 1 more SLH that I started today and are are germinating using the WPT method.

You're going to love that lemon haze...grows like a frickin monster, i'm actually cutting some right now. 3 gallon buckets, colas as wide as my fist

How long did you veg and flower them? I have heard that they take 10 weeks to flower, but well worth the wait.

Nice setup! Very clean and detailed!

I'm subbed and ready to watch, we have very similar setups I am running SLH for the first time too. Shes my youngest but I'm vegging her for a while.

I see you have an auto thrown in the mix aswell! I actually have 3 auto's going, with a couple girls vegging next to them lol.

I run FF soil and nutes aswell so if you have any questions just ask! Its what I started with and I've pretty much stuck to it up to this point, the funny thing is I was thinking of switching over the GH Flora Nova Bloom very soon but havent decided :) Keep em Green, +REP

Well, it depends which phenotypes you have. One, most, take 10 weeks. One of my phenos takes 47 days. The 7 week lemon has branches that want to stick out more laterally with thinner branches. The 10 week likes to shoot straight up with its barnches and get nice and thick. The 10 week will get massive leafs bigger than your face, the 7 week, not so much.

I dont vedge them long because they can just get too big. I deffinately advize trimming the lower 1/3 of the branches off as they wont make it to see the light. They are my favorite plants though, huge producers of tippy top notch buds. How I describe the smoke...like espresso and sunshine. My 7 week is more piney than lemony, and my 10 week tastes more like lemon custard. Push mollasses, b vitamins in vedge, and amino acids the first 5 weeks of bloom and You'll get colas as thick as your forearm

Man you gotta nice setup, wanna trade lol?? but this look like it will be a good journal so im suBBing right up!!
Plus our plants are about tha same age but mine are all autos feel free ta check out my thread, Happy growin:)

Great info on the SLH! I topped both of mine but I think I might have one of each pheno your describing :) One of mine has bigger fuller fan leaves and even with being topped its lateral branching is a little behind the one with smaller leaves and more lateral branching. there still very similar in shape and size but these differences I can already see in veg! The smaller one maybe the 7 week pheno, I did realize she has a very potent smell compared to the other in mid veg. I'm veggin mine for close to 8 weeks so they will probably be quite big :) I'm a little over half way there, again thanks for the info! +REP

Thanks for all the input. I can't wait for the SLH to get growing. My AK Autos cracked in under 24hrs. I'm giving the tap root a chance to get a little longer and I will throw that into the mix. I just got another shipment in from the tude and I have Pineapple express beans that I am dieing to try. I need another tent!

That sounds a lot like the 7 week lemon. Yeah my seven week has a slightly more pungent smell than the 10 week. The buds on it however are not as large as the 10 week, but much more.dense...very dense for a.sativa

Dont know why but 2 of the SLH and 1 blue hash plant tap roots shriveled up and died. Whaaaaaaaaah! 1 SLH never cracked. I put my last SLH in for germination this morning, Hopefully I'll have better luck. The tap roots on the AK Autos were nice and long so I put the in a cup with some FFOF mix.

Does anyone know how old a mother plant must be to start taking clones? My last grow I was just happy to have the plants growing. I didn't top or do any advanced techniques. I thought about it after and plan to do it this time around. I had a reality check when my SLH Seedling bit the dust. I was counting chickens. Its all good.

You can make clones off any age as long as its a healthy enough branch. Obviously thick branches have a better chance of being bad ass clones, so if from a seedling, take clones a week befor you throw the plant into budding. Grow all the clones up, keep one as a mother, flower the rest out.

Filthy Phil you are the Maaaaaaan! Thank you for sharing your expertise. I really appreciate it.

No problem, considering there isnt much I can do to pay back the man who taught me, prudence dictates I pay it forward. And im happy to finally be in a position where I can...

Finally an update! I have had the worst time trying to germinate these autoflower seeds. I even had a tougher time with the SLH seeds. 5 of 5 SLH seeds cracked but 3 of the tap roots shriveled up and died.:o The AK autos had 4 of 5 cracked but I had to put plastic sandwich bags over the cups I put them in. I kept the wet and misted the bags. After about a week they finally broke the soil. I had one that poped but didn't lose its seed casing. I tried to help it along but the seed was just stuck and not opened all the way.I didn't want to pry it so I left it alone. It ended up dying. Probally a noob mistake. I have all of my girls under (2) 4 bulb HO T5 lights. The large plant is a Sticky Pine clone I got from a business associate lol (fellow patient) 2 weeks ago Friday. There are 4 AK 47 autos from G13 labs and there is 2 SLH thrown in the mix. I figure that the autos will flower while my SLH and my SP clone veg. I think the auto AKs are suposed to veg about 14 days and then flower for 56 days. I was planning to veg both SLH and Flower 1 and keep the other for a mom. I only have 1 tent so Santa may have to come early this year!

Thanks, SmeLLYTreeZ.:-P I put the seeds in a damp paper towel and put it in a sandwich bag and put the bag on a towel over a seed sprouter heat mat. I transplanted 3 AK autos into 3gallon pots today. I just wanted to get them out of the dixie cups. I have one AK that is growing very slow and is the runt of the 4. I left it in the dixie cup. I can't bring myself to trash it. I also put 1 SLH into a 5 gallon pot and the little SLH that just sprouted into a 3 gallon pot. I went to the hydro store today and picked up some Tiger Bloom and some Beastie Bloom.
