Super cropping after affect?

The title sounds a bit strange just cause I didn't know how to word it honestly but I was wondering if the vertical growth of the plant will continue as normal after the branch heals from the super crop or will the branch grow at a slower place but develope thicker?

Two reasons I supercrop on occasion. To reduce vertical growth. and give it an energy boost.
If you want to maintain short height then throw a net over, or tie them down, because a branch won't take long to bend back up and return to reaching for the sun...
Scrogging and supercropping work well together.
