Hey Folks,

I thought I’d start a new grow journal although I’m about to flower. I have two females from a tester pack from Jinxproof genetics. I’ve grown a handful from him and they always turn out fire. Soil is equal parts SPM/Compost/Aeration. Compost is from homemade Worm castings, and the nutrients are from KIS Organics. I’ll be using Build a Flower and Bloom (from build a soil), as well as Banana and Peach Fermented Fruit Juice.

Transplanted them in 7gal Smart Pots, but wrapped them in cellophane. I like the height of fabric pots but they dry out too quickly. I tied them down today, will flip in a few days

Alright,

Flipped the lights schedule yesterday 5 days after transplanting. Temps are 77-79 RH 65-70. I’ll be top dressing the plant on the right with Build A Soil’s Flower topdress. I have enough for one plant, and the plant that is getting it has a much bigger root system. I’ll order more when I get paid, there should be enough nutrients for the next 3 weeks. I also have the Build a Bloom water-in booster.

I don’t think I mentioned this, but the lights are HLG 288V2’s. I have had it for 5 years and like 10 diodes are out, but it still runs fine.

Day 8

They’re doing very well and growing very rapidly. Midweek they got a couple of foliar feeds: soluble calcium carbonate, and Banana Fermented Fruit Juice (FFJ). That should help with the transition phase. They got a couple different waterings: Silicate, LaB, and Quillaja (Q, saponin) and Aloe Vera, Fermented Plant Juice (FPJ) (Comfrey, Stinging Nettles, Austrian Winter Pea).

Not much else to report. Hope everyone’s doing well

Here’s an interesting photo of the two phenotype leaves. They also have very distinct and different smells, and the one on the left is about a foot shorter, much more compact. I had to prop up the sister on the left so it wouldn’t miss out on the light

3.5 weeks into flowering

Hey Folks,

plants are doing great, nice and healthy. They’re growing out their pots, although root growth should start slowing down. They’ll be getting top dressed with Build a Soil’s Flower. I gave them some Fish Hydrolysate from Dramm 2-5-1. I’m going to continue to use Build a Bloom as well as FFJ Banana and Peach. The last 3 weeks will get Organic Blackstrap Molasses.

I think my lights are on their last leg. I’ve had these HLG’s for 4 years and the brightness dial is stripped. So I have the lights 20” away from the Canopy, but the ppfd is like 400-550, which is low. I use the Photone App and I’m almost positive I have the right brightness of paper for the diffuser. There are like 7-10 diodes burnt out… it’s time for a new one. Unfortunately won’t be until after this is done.

Almost halfway through Week 5 with 32 days into flowering. They are really stacking and starting to turn colors. The Sister on the left, short and Squat is turning a dark purple. The girl on the right is turning up the trich factory and has a more pinkish-purple. It’s getting smellier and smellier

I have the app Photone, which when used with the right type of paper over the camera lense you can get an accurate ppfd reading. Well I got the right paper and now My tops are 630-820 I think the best is 700-900 (w/o CO2). They are 19 inches from the tops, I might put the lights up another inch. I have seen some serrated edges curl up but that’s about it.

As far as Nutrients go the girl on the left got the Build a bloom water soluble nutrients (the build-a-flower was in the mail) and the girl on the right with the build-a-flower top dress and insect frass. The bag of topdress compost (build-a-flower) smelled like someone took a huge shit. I don’t think that’s good. The plant I top-dressed hasn’t reacted negatively, but I’ll keep an eye out

Day 41

In two days it’ll be through 6 weeks of flowering, and another 2-3 weeks and some days. They are starting to drink a lot less and are really filling out. They look like they could be taken down before 8 weeks. The sister on the left smells like rubber, the one on the right smells . I’ve tapered the feeding to half the amount, will probably give one more feeding. No new hairs, just turning purple and fattening, and smell is increasing everyday. I did find some bananas on the lower leaves. I’ve been too lax with my humidifier staying on after light hours. One for the obvious problem high humidity in the darkness but the blue light when the humidifier is on.

I clipped some low lower branches on both. The sister on the left smells strong like rubber bike tires, the exhale is like a more diesel OG Kush. Tasted great and the buds are sticky and smelly. The pheno on the right is much more floral but not as prounced and developed.

Day 46 of 12/12.

They’re taking up much less water which is a sign its end is near. I’m getting some burnt spots on the leaf margin. It could be that it’s putting its energy into the buds and the weaker areas in leaves are not getting the nutrients. I did test the runoff and it was 7-7.5 ph. I’m considering using apple cider vinegar to bring it down. I thought it could be calcium but they are not showing a deficiency. I can’t understand how the pH is that high. Other than that they’re just trucking along, smell is getting greater. It’s kind of hard to tell the potency, but the Buds I’ve taken haven’t been very potent. Taste and smell are amazing, I think the potency will turn up. Nonetheless it’s still amazing smoke, the best I’ve grown.

Day 54 of flower
Temps 79-81
Humidity 40-50

Breeder said 8 weeks and the plant is damn near close but no longer than 9 weeks will I take them. Been giving straight for the past week, plants aren’t drinking as much, 4 days between watering. The girl on the left is very dense, and pulling nutrients from leaves, the girl on the right isn’t fading as much but calyxes are turning a dark fuchsia color. It has a distinct melon smell, sometimes cherry, or pink lemonade rolled into one. The girl on the left very oil Kush smelling, there’s a tiny blueberry on the end that I’m hoping gets more developed. 3 more days until 8 weeks, lots better than my 16 week-er.

Hey man that's a sick idea to use plastic wrap to prevent drying too fast! why didn't I think of that? :)

Can’t say I came up with it. I like the height with fabric pots, but have had nothing but headaches with them uncovered. I put 2” of hydroton at the base and leave the bottom 3” uncovered.

Day 62,

Getting the chop soon.

Buds are super dense and glistening. It seems like it gets frostier and frostier. The plant on the left has a coffee fragrance when left to cure in jars. Now it was just a few days, but it keeps me guessing. The girl on the right is starting to fade, but the one of the tops has a lot of Amber trichomes. The majority are halfway cloudy, which makes me think it’s not ready. I’m thinking 5-6 days from now it should be ready. It’d be day 67-68. The lowers I’ve been pulling have been great. The sister on the left’s lowers are dense and not airy, it keeps its symmetry thought, which I really like.

I’ve never grown the same plant twice, so I think I’ll reveg those. In other news I popped 6 fem DeadHead OG from Cali Connection it’s a Chem 91 Skunk Va x SFV OG IBL male (Cali’s work) so should be some wreckers in there.

Hey y’all

Sry for not finishing this journal. Put the plants in 36hr darkness with cooler temps getting down to 63. She ripened up with that method and came out great. I had some issues with drying, couldn’t get it past 7 days, temps where in the high 60’s-70, RH was 55-65% humid. The girl on the left had purple all the way through. She smells like rubber inner tube tires, and lemon cleaner. She tastes like lemon lime, purple skittles, purple pixie stix, and rubber. Very chill, Stoney, dreamy high. Great for pain relief and relaxing. The girl on the right has a strawberry-cherry-red apple smell, unfortunately the flavor doesn’t really come through on the exhale. Her high is similar to the purple one, but not as heavy. Great anxiety relief with these two. Jinxproof has consistently put out great strains that do not disappoint.
