Do you recommend any? Or what would be the most ideal setup?
Make sure you check dimensions if your planning on reusing the heatsinks. These maybe.(flowering)

So what's the idea on being able to replace these blurple cobs? Do I just make sure that the new cobs don't exceed the power of my drivers?

Just needs to fit in the voltage range and run more efficiently at the provided current. All of those leds linked would be a large improvement on that light. (And better than any other light you could buy for that price)

Good to know somebody has bit the bullet and exposed this Sunnine ebay COB. I've been looking to buy a COB and like to buy whenever possible from eBay because of the perks and the buyer protection has been excellent.

I now know that I shouldn't waste my time buying the $120 Sunnine COB.

The buyer protections and customer service with eBay are effective. I recently bought and returned a supposedly counterfeit Arizer Air vaporizer for that was going for $20 less than retail. Although it looked authentic it eventually stopped working and when providing Arizer with serial # they confirmed it wasn't produced by them. The rewards are also great when they are available with high multiples and you have large ticket items to purchase. Not the very best for sellers fee's though as I've sold large ticket items here.

it looks like you can snag one of these ~$75-82 if your patient/dilligent. At that price, it might be worth swapping out the cheapies for 4x citizen 1812s for somebody

Guys,

I purchased two of these red cased 800 Watt COB lights, as described above,.. 1 from anjeetledtubelight, and the other from e-bright off of Ebay. They seem to be "ok", I guess. I even gave them a review - prematurely (I think) because, they wont sell anymore to me now, unless I pay the "trending price". I used to use, 4 450 watt led lights, that later I found out to be 300 watts after the lights started to lose rows of leds by burning out, or something. Still, I was getting good to a little more than above average yields, but thinking I could do much better, I tried these Cobs in a 4x8 tent, but only using 4x4 of it. I tried growing 4 plants this summer, three of which didnt make it, one was a male, and two switched sex's on me. One turned out to be pretty decent - considering-but with seeds,...grrrr! Anyway,..I am going to still try to get a couple more 800's somehow, and see if I can't beef them up some. But, heres where I'm at a loss. I don't know jack diddly about anything electrical, but sure am willing to learn. From what I read above, and with the links - its possible, from what I understand. So,....I need a coach. Right now, I believe I have a couple weeks left for this one plant to finish, after that I have nothing else growing - for the time being, which will give me some time to beef these lights up and hopefully, later on this fall or winter I can get two more.20161009_164232_resized.jpg 20161009_164432_resized.jpg 20161009_164414_resized.jpg 20161005_173655_resized.jpg For, the most part, when I first recieved these lights, they were white, ...a few months later - they're red or pink. Anyway, taking pics with a cellphone isnt very good. I am letting this plant stretch, and stretch beyond its limit. As you can see the Trichomes are still pretty white here for Panama Red plant. I just stunted its growth by putting it into flower earlier than normal, and as you can see its not to shabby. a20160717_094924.jpgAs you can see, the Veg stage with these lights are just fine and dandy, everything seems to me, to be normal. All 4 plants were put into Flower stage on this day, I just took some pics to have fun with. Anyway, I decided that since I still have a pile of it left from growing outside last year, that I'd let this pant bud out as long as I could, and it is. Right after this, the male showed up and a couple days later the Hermies showed up.
So, yeah I could use some coaching when it comes to lights rather than play around to very much. lol
Thnx,.....and keep on aToke'n!

Ok I know the true watts is not going to be 800 watts but I will be happy with 400 watts of cob for the price this thing is at $140.Has anyone experienced these yet.
yeah they are not to bad for cheap china lights, you get around 2oz in 2'x2' with the 800w, I got a 1200w and modified it, replaced the 6 fans with supperred 12v 0.17a fans, twice the cfms as ones that comes with and you can use same drivers, switched to some 3500k crees also. its all plug and play connections, easy to mix and match. if you don't know basics of led lights check out growmaus5 on youtube, he has 7-part series on building.......it just depends on how far you want to go or how much your willing to spend...... really its a good deal I think...the case alone is worth the buy

yeah that's a great light for the price corso312, I have one. it produced about 2/3 weight of the sunnine 1200w did before conversion so that says a lot, but I had some crees and drivers laying around from a build so it only cost me $200 for everything including the $150 for the sunnine 1200w. the crees I used were $54ea so would of been more like $550 all together but if you wanted a light with those specs it would be $1000+........Now I get same yield as a 1000hps using 570 true watts but I would go with the led corso312 posted if your looking for a start up led that would grow something worth anything but whatever you do only use 1/3 the strength nutes or you will burn up your plants quick........I really think leds are really gonna be the standard in growing within next 5 years, i had no faith in led grow lights even the high dollar ones, always thought a 1000w hps was way to go until one day i was up to 4,000w of power then had no choice but to try them out, now ill never use a HID every again. the growing energy of a real 600w led grow light is = to 1000w hps also the bud is more dense and way more crystals. good luck with you led journey

I'm with you. Bought some nice CoBs from Timber. Had to get a solderer to touch up one connect and now thinking towards building or modding an existing light in future.

Some ppl around here bought those Sunnine's around here like they were gonna make a smart buck with all the news and speculation.

Thx for sharing
