I have a Lumatek 600 watt digital ballast that is also dimmable. I've heard that some bulbs don't work well with digital ballasts, so I don't know which bulbs to choose. Should I use Sunmaster or Eye Hortilux?

I use a 600w Sunmaster with a digital ballast and it works great! Tested and approved for over a year (mine that is).

Yes your ballast will pop that expensive bulb, go with the sunmaster.

yes i have a post on another forum about this whole issue hortilux bulbs dont do well in a 600 watt system and they have had trouble in th 400 and 1000 watt systems as well the people at htg told not to purchase a hortilux for this reason check hortilux web site it basicly says that there bulb wont work in most digital ballast not all but most so make up your own mind about it.but i use sunmaster bulbs great bulbs,hope this helps.

i just copped a 600w hort w/ enhanced spectrum a few days ago, i have a dig ballast. The guy mentioned something about either my ballast going or the light going (too high for the hydro store forgot haha) bc of some volt range it puts out, but he said the hort has a 1yr factory warranty so hold on to the receipt
