I'm New, Searched and searched for answers, i dont own a meter, phone apps that measure light are vague but lean sunlight ( i assume due to sunlights intensity at distance/indoor lighting weakens greatly )
Is the intensity of sunlight thru typical window glass greater than reflected indoor lighting by mylar?

variables...
Indirect vs direct (direct for a short time morning or evening)
direct is assumed to be thru a window screen
gas composition between panes (argon?)
very light glass tinting (blue ish)
new windows <5 years old
mylar distance 2ft from light so doubled to 4 feet (for both travels of light)
90-95% reflectivity mylar
... inverse square law makes sunlight the ultimate winner unless you have a killer setup ---provided the glass does not filter more of the wavelength your plants want

Thanks to any who chime in
(even necros decades from now as i have found many necroed threads very valuable since things change)

It really depends how long light is going through the window and how intense it is 12 hours of indoor light reflecting might be more light than 4 hours of sunlight

Thanks for the rep[y Ryan
Its an either or situation . Have mylar over windows (12hr) or an unblinded window with indirect sunlight (12hr)

If you do go the window route make sure you clean it regularly if you live in a dusty area an get a curtain for night time
