So, I am going through eBay and I am looking into a 600 watt light...I have gone w/ HTG and they were solid...however the deal seems to be with this SUNKAN system this time around...

has anybody ever bought any of SUNKAN's products? If so have you had a good/bad experience? any insight that could stop me from wasting money would be greatly appreciated!:wall:

the reflector looks like it's worth about 50¢....

how are you growing? in a tent? or in a large room? Personally I would spend a bit more money and get a better bulb and ballast and reflector. I definately wouldn't use that reflector..

I have a growtent...currently running a 400 but looking to upgrade...I definitely know of the power of a solid bulb so I would be replacing that shit w/ a hortilux bulb...I didn't realize that the ballast and reflector would matter much company to company, but it is probably like anything else (you get out of it what you put into it), but anyways are there any specific companies/set-ups that you suggest?

DUDE. I'm telling you right now. I live 2 blocks from this store and they will set you up. I just bought a 400w hps for 135 brand new. including my choice of bulb ( I picked the ultrasun 400w hps). I bought this, a 70cfm duct booster(45 dollars) 2 of the 4 inch air cooled fittings glass for my hood, pro grip light hangers all for a total of 215 bucks.
Heres a picture of the 400watt I got from them so you know what you're looking at somewhat.

They have a 600 watt package, for 155.00 US dollars. get on that shit now. You can also pick which ballast/hood/ ore reflector you want.
You can purchase the air cool adapters for another 4 dollars and you can also get a set of the progrip light hangers for an extra 5 as well.

Heres a link

Or you could go with 2 400 watt fixtures for a total of 266 bucks, thats not a bad idea.

Also this place has great open box deals sometimes. They just sold out but they did have 600w hps ans mh bulbs for like 9 dollars or so. Not just the regular ones, a few of them were the enhanced spectrum ones too.

that looks nice, but I am attached to hortilux haha what do you guys think about a setup with a 600 watt quantum digital ballast, hortilux bulb and a C.A.P. Lumenaire 6" air cooled reflector?

it does sound whack but when you factor in the fact that they all at least have 15000 hours left, its not too bad considering the bulbs are usually near a 100 bucks. These guys are way cool you could email them personally about it. I've smoked bowls with a couple of the guys there, so they know whats up lol
I would recommend emailing them and asking if you could mod that 600 watt package they have to something better with out paying much extra. They'd probably do it, the guys act like its more of a head shop really. lol kind of like "those lights were priced at blah blah blah but if you buy 2 of them or some other stuff we can do it at "this price." I'd imagine if you told them that a walk in customer referred you to them over the internet, they'd be happy too.

Its totally up to you though obviously lol I say go for the hortilux package if thats what you really want, Either way its christmas coming up so theres no harm in indulging a bit ;)
