So I was looking at my linkedin profile and there is a company called Sundopt that is selling some lights that appear to be a really good deal. Wanted to get everyone's thoughts on these and share the find.

According to the PM they sent me, the diodes consist of:
2816 pcs Samsung LM301 (not sure if H or B)
64 pcs OSRAM (dunno the exact chip)

720 Watt draw

They shot me a price of $369

This is their alibaba link.

That 720 looks pretty light on the diode count. You should ask them how many per bar.

Is it the same company as these guys? They list the “magic book” as well, I didn’t compare all the data.

Is it 720w or 800w or two different models?
The one he shot me that price on was the 720. If you have a linked in profile you can look them up on there, the username is "led grow light" and their profile shows them as Sundopt LED Lighting Co., Ltd. - Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. I found that alibaba link on my own with a google search but I asked about a link to purchase. He mentioned they have a warehouse in the US that they ship from. I asked for more details like PPFD distribution and spectrum yadda yadda. Will see what they have to say. That price just really grabbed my attention. I wasn't really in the market for any lights at the moment but I have some clients and friends that are.

If you have linkedin they posted a video of their "aging room" with a bunch of lights plugged in and running. I don't know how long they test run them but it's good to see they do test run them more than a few seconds.

The price is right for sure. Thought maybe the other link can provide more/different info. Think I saw mention of a Dallas warehouse. Sorry man, I just been learning led this past half year, can’t offer much in the diode section. I just absorb what the gurus post up for now. :blsmoke: I will check out the vids.

Based on the pictures the diode count is much less

For someone who has only ever posted about other lights (hortibest) it's a bad look to have a go at another light maker, especially with thin arguments like ppfd low ppfd which really involves a lot more than efficacy (hanging height, spread etc).
Makes you look like a shill, either a sock puppet for a light maker/reseller or like one of those guys who's ego is so tightly connected the light they bought that they must make everyone else get the same.
Either pony up with advertiser status or a therapist or hey, why not contribute in a noncommercial way as every body else?

I was checking out the medicgrow and really like the fold 8 720unit leds. I went with the 6 of the growerschoice roi-e720 but ya there are alot more options for the growers in the market of leds these days. Prices are definitely coming down. Another company I checked out was volt lighting ....https://www.voltlighting.com/led-grow-lights

And Ren that is insane price for those leds, even with shipping they be a steal.

A lot of us who bought the Fold 8 several months ago after the thread here plus the Cocoforcannabis review are finishing up our first grows with it right now. A buddy of mine bought one at the same time-we both used CMH prior-and these lights are a great value for a 4x4 at 80% and I'm sure they'd be great in a 5x5 at 100%. They run so cool at 80% I feel like I have a good shot at getting some longevity out of it. Very nice light so far and I'm excited to compare the yield with my last run with a 630 CMH, which was 25 oz. I'm pretty sure the Fold 8 will beat that by several oz.

why are you guys always go like "man thats 399, thats cheap, or price xy", you know this is Alibaba,it is not for usual customers, only for companies? I mean there will be a lot on top of that, shipping and taxes, right?

As far as i know these prices are way less than what you actually pay in the end. At least thats how its here in EU, i dont know how thats handled in the US. I mean, prices at Ali Express are 20-30% more expensive, sometimes even more, thats the platform for end-customers, both platforms belong together as far as i know. I dont think you can just go over to Alibaba and say hey. im just gonna pick up stuff 30% cheaper than on Ali Express.
