Hi.
Summer is just around the corner, its gonna be a very hot summer and I would like to hear how you keep your water temps at optional temperature.

I've been looking around and found these:

They are abit pricey and therefore I would like to get your share on other similar coolers for a cheaper price or other ways to keep the water temps down.

I can't use to strong extraction fans because of complaints from neighbours regarding noise coming from my apartment...:wall:

Chillers are a fantastic solution for maintaining temps. Pricey...Yes.

(Bummer you have to watch noise levels.)

I am blessed to be growing on concrete floors, they keep my water temps at a solid 65-70F...if temps get really warm, it can come up to 72-73F during lights on, but ever since running beneficial microbes I've literally not had root rot once. A couple small but helpful tips though, you can add a fan that blows directly on your buckets, as well as another fan that blows directly on your air pump if using that for aeration. I leave a clip fan running 24/7 on my airpump and it really helps it not heat my water up with hot air. Another small but effective tip, line the outside of your buckets/res with mylar or something else that's highly reflective. This will help your containers not absorb as much light and heat. Hope I helped a bit, good luck and happy growing.
