Summer Heat

Due to summer heat would it be a good idea to run 12/12 lights on during the night and then leave them off for the day? My room is pretty light proof but some cracks may let in a little house light. Itll be a 400w hps what do people think?

i am also thinking of resorting to night cycle... it has been getting hotter here and i am in a second floor duplex with no ac. I would suggest covering the windows with aluminum foil so during the day you arent getting any light in.. foil doesnt look as sketchy because it give the effect of refection to anyone who may be looking from outside.. and it will not let any light through during the night.

I used to have my lights setup at night. But since I am paranoid of the helicopters heat vision my lights are on during the day now. I may be over cautious but I sleep better at night. WM

having the lights on at night and off juring the day is smart because of the added heat with the lights ontop of the heat

thats always been my theory. especially when its 80 outside during the day. my light goes on at 745pm, the sun is just about down by then and starting to cool off.
