Im growing outdoors in Ontario. Has anyone used sulphur spray to prevent fungal issues?

My plants look healthy but I want to prevent any fungal problems.Ive been thinking of spraying a bit of sulphur spray as a preventative just for a few weeks or so. Any thoughts on this? My plants have some preflowers developing so i would only do a few applications. Thanks for the advice.

Not sure on Sulphur but I use milk and water outside. About 1 part milk to 4-5 parts water. I find it works great for powdery mildew. It's supposed to be hard on soft bodied insects too. There's carbs and potassium in it, but it also has sodium, so I try to get the lowest sodium type. Not sure about fungal infections but I run pretty clean with it and I'm in Eastern Canada too. I spray about once a month when they start to get big. I even used sour milk before.

Thanks! I think i will give that a shot. Dont want my buds tasting like sulphur. Does the fat content of the milk matter?

I usually wind up using what I have in the fridge. I like 3.25% fat but you can use pretty much any of them as far as I know.

Yes wettable sulphur works but will wash off just like the milk would during rain and know you don’t spray anything on buds!

I do spray my buds with the milk and water mixture BUT not a lot. Maybe 2-3 times in flower. It does wash off in the rain but it takes a bit for all of it to go away. My plants stink like milk even after a rain. Not looking to argue with you @Cboat38 , just sharing the way I do it. Spray once the first month of flower and hit them again around week 5 and I've had no issues. Only used it two years though but I'm going to use it again this year.

Yeah I went back and read his post I only use sulfur spray during veg only…..buuut if the plant continue to grow buds shouldn’t you be able to use it a little past pre flower? I do know,sulfur spray is the shit kills most bugs and pm runs and hide from it.. not good for flower

Is it too late use wetable sulphur now or can i get away with a few applications? Ive only noticed some stretching and maybe pre flowers.

I’ve used wettable sulphur a few times with good results, but only in veg. Would never spray this after the first 2 weeks of flower.

If you have flower sites popping up,
I’d go with @MustGro ’s advice on the milk solution, you don’t want to chance having a sulphur taste in your flower etc

Ive been using your method, except i added a bit of baking soda, neem and dish soap. Read an article about adding these in. Plants dont seem to mind.
