Hey RIU. I've decided to set up a veg tent because I'm sick of getting clones from my buddy and constantly changing lights in my grow room between veg and bloom. I plan to keep my current set up for my flowering tent. 8x4x10 grow tent 3x6 tray ebb and flow 2k HPS with lumatek digital ballasts. normally flower 18 plants scrog style.
Tent size?
I want to have around 20 clones and three mothers in it continuously. I'm thinking about going with a 4x4x? tent but I don't know if it even needs to be that big. I only need it to be tall enough for my mothers since I veg short for scrog though I would like to have a shelf to keep the clones close to the light.
Lighting?
I have an extra 600w air cooled hood and digital ballast but I'm thinking about going with three 4 foot t5's due to heat and energy. 1 above and one on each side. How big of an issue will heat be with 2 or 3 t5s? Is there considerable difference in energy consumption between a 600w mh and 2 or 3 t5's? And which do you think will produce better results in veg for me?
Ventilation?
Will a verticle fan sucking air out the top suffice? or should i look into a cool air intake for this tent as well? I can always run a cold air intake from my AC vent in the room to the tent.
If I forgot something let me know. Feel like I had a couple more questions but I can't think of them... Damn short term memory loss.
