Suggestions on Grow Tents

Hi everyone,

I'm getting ready to start a grow in January and was curious of any "All in one" or out of the box and grow type tent set ups. I'm growing in a condo and need the smell to be contained as much as possible so figured this would be the route to go, especially with a strong carbon filter set up. Any suggestions on particular manufacturers or websites to point me to would be greatly appreciated.

I've been a recent lurker and appreciate all the awesome info. It will help me during my first go around.

Best Regards,

JG

I agree with neonknight! HydroHuts are the shit(i have experience with growmedics, secret jardin, and hydrohuts, plus have seen several other brands set up in shops) i have a 2x4 and a 3x3 hydrohut silver edition, I run them with the phresh filters and dont have any smell unless i have plants out watering them or have the tent doors open.. but i have the Ona Gel buket with the fan lid for when my tents are open..

i love my Secret Jardin DR120.

btw, i don't know personally of any all-in-one package deals but i'd recommend against going that route as usually those package deals use low to mid quality components and market to those who are unfamiliar so don't realize they are paying for mediocre stuff. ...believe me, you will be far better off buying the components separately so you can be sure you are getting quality equipment, ...it's not cheap if you have to replace it.

Make sure your grow tent is light proof. Once bloom comes you will wish you did.

Most tents fail to light proof their zippers, bottoms, and vents. Just an fyi for you. Amazon and eBay have cheap tents. Personally the "all in one" kits I think are stupid, it isn't hard to find better deals locally or online. There are so many options to growing marijuana indoors and that takes away the enjoyment.

Thanks for the quick responses everyone! My apologies, what I meant by "All In One" was improper wording. What I mean was a tent that was designed specifically for growing which includes the holes to port ducting into, etc. I've come across cabinets that were out of the box ready but I'm not spending $2-3k on a cabinet.

I'm going to look into Hydro-Hut. At a glance, the price is awesome. Now, I'm looking 4-6 plants. Should I be looking at the 3x3 or the 4x4. I'd like to use the room throughout the whole process ;-). Will be growing Super Lemon Haze from Greenhouse Seeds, and Reserva Privada Purple Wreck. Very excited as this will be my first "indoor" grow that will expand over time.

Thanks again everyone and as I start my grow, I will post up a grow diary/review.

the 3x3 is big enough for 4-6 decent sized plants bro, but what kind and size light you planning on using?

i bought an Oasis tent at whole sale, its more expensive then a secret jardan, when the lights are on i notice some of the zippers arnt light proof and u can see little specs of light some places like if you poked a small tiny sewing needle through the tent.

the 4x4 is really 5x5,but i knew this before buying.

i use mine for veg,so it works great for me.

I got two cheap virtual sun tents on amazon and love them. They were cheap but strong material and zippers. Some of the light hanger bars ends are plastic so don't hang anything off them. I just use 6" wide pine board across the tent frames and hang everything off that. Much stronger.

Dont get a no name filter sometimes they don't work well at all. Do your homework on filters and read reviews from people who have used them. I have used can and active air filter and the both work fine but I have read good things about phresh filters so I bought a 10" x 39" and am going to run it for the January flowering.

as far as what size tent to get. get as big as you can fit into your space.

a 3x3 is fine but after a couple of grows, i have no doubt you'll be thinking, i should have gone with the 4x4. :)
