Smoky McPot
I'm a newbie grower so I bought a little light system. Does this look like it can get the whole job done? With the I have fertilizer and soil and a good grow space but I just want a lighting system that will be good enough for about 2 plants. Plus I'll just stick a cheap fan next to it. Here are the specs for the picture below of the lighting setup.

Model F2020-L
• 17"H x 27"L x 10"D
• Two lamp 24" fluorescent fixture
• 17 inch tall aluminum legs
• Five foot, 3 wire cord
• Light slides for easy adjustment
• Includes 2 Wide Spectrum lamps

Fluorescent is ok when in the germination and clone rooting phases. If your trying to go for an inexpensive grow room I recommend a couple of CFLs (compact fluorescent lights). Once the leaves start growing, its all about something that we learned about in Biology class, photosynthesis. Plants use light to produce energy, or something of that matter.

If your a baller, than I recommend HID lighting. HIDs have a high lumen output. MH (Metal Halide) light is rich with blue light from the color spectrum, and its good for vegging, while HPS (High Pressure Sodium) lights are rich with red, and is better for flowering.

Thats what I recommend with the light part.

get a high pressure sodium ballast and bulb 400watts. thats more then enough for 2 plants i think. you can veg for about a month with your fluos, but i would add more though. Peace
