i want to create a DWC setup for one plant. im looking for a water pump to lay within the water resv. and connect it to a misting system. im having trouble finding this item in a store so im looking online. bc i cant actually hold the item i want ppl's advice on what to buy.

i want something that uses the water/nutes resv. as the water source and after the mist bathes the root system, obv. the remaining water will fall back into the resv. and "recycle" the water.

what should i buy? im using the search term "submersible water pump" online, is this what i need?

as im looking at pics, i dont see the where the pump actually "suck up" the water. here's a pic from Better Grow Hydro website, link is:

They got a bunch of them at Lowe's noticed just the other day. Suspect HD have em two. They out in the lawn and garden section. Best deal as I see is to agree with the fella who said it on here about Harbor Freight. I looked at em online and real powerful one is only 12 bucks or so. Course you got shipping with that unless you a fortunant person who live in the same town with a retail store etc.

Well you have a cross threaded question you say you want to build a DWC setup but are asking for parts to an aero setup?? In a DWC setup you dont use a submersible pump you use an air pump and airstones or bubble curtain. To be sounds like your asking to make an aero unit which does use a submersible pump.If your doing it for 1 plant i assume its a simple 5 gallon bucket setup with one single lawn sprinkler type head so a simple 200gph pump will be more then enough. They are on eaby for about $16 shipped.Check aqua via in the search and look for the 470 or the 315 model. You aksed about where the water goes into these pump.Yopu see the slits on the fromt of the pumps the water goes in that end via the impellor that cover comes off just snaps on but leave it on and use a filter pump bag to keep roots out of the pump.
