Hello everyone, been wanting to start a little journals to show off my babies. First of all, I'm doing this as a hobby rather than a business venture. (Not that I'm judging, but it's not worth the risk for me.) I love growing plants and as soon as summer comes I'm growing tomatoes and vegetables the same. It's not worth the money and I wish it was 100% legal for everyone. I've read the research and I know the medicinal benefits, so I think we all deserve to grow and produce our own cure rather than depend on the pharmaceutical companies. No disrespect to law enforcement and what they do and how they protect us in ways I probably take for granted. Anyway, now that that's out of the way let me break down my grow:

I mixed 1/4 batch of superoil as detailed by subcool. I'm not a potster on grass city, but here's a great link for smaller batches: http://forum.grasscity.com/organic-growing/928638-subcool-super-soil-smaller-batches.html

1/4 Recipe

2 large bags of a high-quality organic potting soil with coco fiber and mycorrhizae (i.e., your base soil)
6.25 to 12.5 lbs of organic worm castings
1.25lbs or 20 ounces steamed bone meal
1.25lbs or 20 ounces bloom bat guano
1.25lbs or 20 ounces blood meal
3/4 lbs rock phosphate <- I didn't use the rock phophate.
3/16 cup or 3 tablespoons Epsom Salts
1/8 cup or 2 tablespoons sweet lime (dolomite)
1/8 cup or 2 tablespoons azomite (trace elements)
1.5 teaspoons powdered humic acid

The only additives I've used is a little soul synthetics amino acids in the early grow, liquid karma, molasses, cal-mag, and the trinity additive by roots organic. I used the Roots Organic and biobizz light as my base soil. I'm using 1000W of light along with supplemental CFL lighting in a 4x4 grow tent with an exhast and intake. I've been using rain water for a good portion of the grow, hence the cal-mag.

I got the 1000W ballast and gear from HTG supply, which was cheap as hell, but has been working great. Their customer service is sublime - I got a broken bulb and they replaced it for free without me even having to ship back the broken one.

As a side note this is the second time growing in soil and I had a horrible first experience in soil with fox farms without a pH meter. Big tip for all growers - get a pH meter unless you make supersoil mix. I had major problems late flower along with heat issues - so I'm hoping this research and approach pays off. I also hope others look into it and become successful too.

I'm going to post them in flowering, but if anyone wants to see the veg pics I'll post them. I'm at week 3 of flowering and my plants have always been extremely bushy and short with a lot of nodes with very little stretch even after 6 weeks of veg. I gather this is because of my 24/7 light cycle. I had some issues with too much foliage so I have trimmed a few oversized fan leaves on the top to open them up a bit, but overall I've let them grow naturally with a bit of LSTing.

The Full Moon variety and WW are form Nirvana - both feminized for convenience and space. The north and western plant in the first pic are the Full Moon - very broad, almost indica leaves. The smell so far is very mild and hardly noticeable. Not your super skunk smell some prefer. The plant in the front is basil. All planted in the recommended 7 gallon bucket. I have also top dressed them with the supersoil once lightly, and will do so again in a week probably - they're relatively hardy, heavy feeders from the looks of it. (The Full Moon are anyway, the white widow is much more sensitive to too much nutes, and is a bit smaller.) And finally, the superosil was cooked for about 6 weeks before use with rain water, molasses, and a bit of liquid karma.

Gj my man I have a batch of supersoil cooking right now, 1/4 like you. Though I switched it up a little, I used FFOF & Happy Frog, Myco innoculate, soft rock phosphate, kelp meal, alfalfa meal as well as the rest of the ingredients.

Your plants look great, do you use co2 in a sealed tent/room?

Nope, no c02, but I was looking into it. I do tend to let fresh air into the room though. The only issues I've had so far is a bit of minor spotting on my northern plant - a cal-mag deficiency I'm guessing. I've been using cal-mag to supplement this week with rainwater. (I've used rainwater for most my grow so I kind anticipated a mg/ca problem due to the purity of the water not having minerals.) I think overall, my best plant is the western plant of the three, one of the Full Moon's. The White Widow has always been a bit smaller than the other two. All in all the grow has gone pretty well, but I'm itching to grab a pH meter.

My northernly FM plant - as you can see a lot of competition for each bud site to branch out, but these plants are absolutely not stretching. I have moved my light up a bit and I'm hoping despite 3 weeks into flowering she'll stretch a bit more for the lower buds sake. On the upside, she's healthy - for the most part.

And here's the cream of the crop, at least in appearance. Probably what every grower wants to see; the second full moon with a slightly different phenotype. The amazing thing about super soil is the voracious amount of vegetative growth these vertically challenged plants have churned out. If they were put outside, I can't even imagine how big they'd be.

And finally, a dark cycle pic taken at day 24 of flowering.

So all in all, the vertical growth has all but stopped. Looks like the plant is going all out on flowering now. I'm hoping they'll stretch a bit more, but as it stands I'm pretty happy despite the lack of room. I never thought 3 plants would take up so much room.

The crazy thing about these plants is the amount of branching and bud sites. The best (westerly) plant, underneath those tops if i move them over a bit it exposes 5 more bud sites coming off that -secondary- stem. I wish I'd scrogged or something, but those stems are way too tough. I can't even bend them without them snapping like sticks.

Needless to say i've top dressed all of those plants with supersoil, because there's no doubt in my mind they'll need it in the coming months. I may even have to supplement a P fert later on. They look small, but there's dozens of bud sites per plant, unfortunately they're limited to space and the reflectivity is limited to the top portion of the canopy since the plants have bushed out so much horizontally. (In other words, the light is strong, but the canopy on top has nearly covered all 4x4 of viable space under the light.

Has anyone ever harvested more than once on a plant?

here's what I mean. If this isn't proof of super soil awesomeness, I don't know what is.
