I've also had alot of luck with Barneys Farm beans. Their Blue Cheese plant I had was about 6 weeks into veg when the piggies brutally yanked her out of the ground, and ended her life. At 6 weeks veg, she was already 3 or 4 feet tall, branchy as hell, had the starts of newly forming trichs on the leaves(while still in veg), and was the smelliest VEGGING plant I've ever buried my nose in. :)

I cant wait till Im bragging up my TGA plants, tho.:) That day is still a little ways off. Unfortunately, I've got to go sit in prison with real criminals because I was caught growing the evil marijuana plants, and harvesting its deadly poisonous buds. BUT!!!! When I finish feeding the egos of uptight fucks who actually think that way, I've got a mental list of the next strains Im picking up for a big garden full of dank! Barneys Farm, TH Seeds, and TGA Subcool are on that list moreso than any other breeder.

Oh, and BTW, Sub... Nice sig, brah! I'd love to fuckin' ask em' at my next hearing!!! ... ... But I wont.:)

i do like tga also i have been growing the apollo 13 x vortex for awhile and its dank as hell.but i dont know why everyone hates on ghs.i have a ghs bubba kush,kings kush,and white widow mothers i clone all the time and its great stuff just as advertised.only breeder i have had shitty results from is dna/reserva privada.my kushberry was a shitty pheno.my og18 hermied it was great smoke tho.im gonna chalk it up as bad luck and give em one more try as i have a few more seeds of each.

well i have 10 vortex seeds , and if i cant not find a keeper ,, i quit
i have been trying to grow the last 3 years and everything is a let down.

started out with a friend that saw 3 small plants growing in a house window plant i had , lol
i use to toss the seeds from my bags anywhere i was in the house , well 3 of them started to grow.
so we decided to dig them out and make a grow room , i went online and saw that people were using cfl,s
then i saw that video growmorebuds for under 100 bucks , so i bought like 15 42watt cfls lol

well to make along story short , out of the 3 bagseed ONE was out of this world!
i was taking samples every week starting at 7 weeks and no good ,, week 9 came around wasnt planing on cutting but ,, a plant had mold so i cut it down,
the buds that didnt have any mold we let dry and smoked it , bam it was the one , 2 to 3 hits and great buzz feel good happy dry mouth , it was everything you could want
the other 2 no good.
only had 1 clone of it and it was growing ,, and at week 7 it got spidermites so we cut it down ,, But it was just as good as the mother and only 7 weeks!
sadly, i did not take any clones , i thought no big deal , we will just grow more they will all be kickass .
boy was i wrong :(

nothing we have grown since compares to that 1 plant
so we dumped the cfls and bought 400 hps then 2 400 hps , then started to order from seed companys on line
and now have 2 600 hps , lol
still sucks :(

grown out many seeds from friends :(
one friend gave me sum clones , they were ... ok , but
got sum seeds from nirvana :(
got sum seeds from barneys , a little better , but still not so good
also from the 2 orders above like 20 different freebies from all kinds of companys and they all just a big let down :(

so i am still pheno hunting after 3 years

Definitely love Subcool being here. That guy is cup champion in my heart.

But sorta a different example of what OP was talking about:

DJ Short breeds a "crinkle-type" deformity into his seeds that doesn't effect the way the plant grows.
Actually when you breed his strains, the "crinkle-type" deformity won't show in the offspring.
Again it doesn't effect the plants ability to perform photosynthesis or the aroma or quality of thc,
it's merely just a really neat way for him to let his fans know that they bought the real deal.

Blueberry from any other company won't have that deformity. Because they had to breed it and essentially lost the traits he isolated.

So if you want to know if you bought legit DJ Short seeds, gotta look out for his tricks.

DJ shorts gear to me is over rated... I grew his blueberry, and it was good, but not epic that is for sure...

Well thats probably just karma.
DJ Short was a judge at the California cup. (Indica division)
And he had the same Blasé attitude towards everything. I don't even think he picked one he liked. :(

Or maybe ive smoked blueberry or blue dream for well over 3 years now and am just over it... i did like it at one time, but probably way over did it... def over rated compared to some of the all time greats...

3 years is a long time. I haven't even had a relationship last longer than 2 and a half.

But i meant the karma thing in a way like "Bad reviews that go around come around"... maybe thats just more confusing.

So what's an all time great in your book?

purp urkle, OG kush (exodus cut), sour diesel never get old IMO its just that ive smoked so much of that bberry... and now its being crossed into alot of strains as well... i guess im just not impressed...

u can use any strain to breed Cherry kush is querkle crossed with bubba kush I think and is an amazing plant with a beautiful fade
