Ask the tall guy from top gear, it literally runs circles around the Sti. His words not mine.

Evo X, nuff said.
haha damn an Evo fanboy here, okay
Subaru WRX STI Vs Evo X
Power:221kw - 217kw
Torque:407nm 366nm
EngineCC:2457 - 1997 your talking about a 2.5 vs a 2.0 ? i mean on the track for a 1/4 mile Subaru would just neck a Evo. but i know in the long run an Evo would win.
but for tracks rally ect the Rexxy has that. its proven subaru is just more easier to maintain then evo's.

i'm not a fan of the new body style tbh, but they're a really, really nice car imo..

owned subby's in the past, nothing special, but they can take a beating and run great if taken care of..

this dude i worked with had a super nice legacy, had it worked with a big turbo and that thing was nasty for sure..

plus i think the build quality and interior are better on the subby's than the evo's, jmo though... :D

Ya know which one I like is that Mazda, the Speed3. I know its not as fast either the evo or the sti but I think for the money u would spend on it vs. the other 2 u can't beat it.

If only it drove the rear wheels and didn't have this face. cn

Lolz is that the hatchback style that subaru ripped off or u mean the speed3 I was talkin bout? Aren't all 3 of em AWD? I know the Evo and STI r, not 100% on the speed3.

Lolz ok, I gotcha. I never noticed that big ass grinning face the speed3 has. But I have to say when I took one for a test drive it was still a fun car to drive.

I haven't had the chance to drive one, but the reviews beefed about the engine "management" (restraint) computer used to deal with the torque steer that's inevitable when you put, what? 260 horse into a light, front-driven platform. cn

what i heard about the mazda's is about when it goes over 100,000km's the engine starts to knock due to the cheap quality of the timing belt.
and by the way the rexxy's got the hatchback first for the turbo's then the mazda's.

timing belt service is recommended at 80,000k anyway so if if hit 100,000ks it's no wonder it's out of adjustment.

And Yes, the Mazda's are FWD not AWD and must be slow coz I was flogged them in both my R34 and 90 model MX6 turbo, however I recon build quality would blitz both evo and sti's.
