Stupid Questions? about Hydro Grow

So, I may be over thinking this but here are a couple questions I can't seem to find answers. I have my own ideas of what the right answer is but I just want to be sure. I am using a homemade 10 gal bubbler under 400 hps growing autoflowers.

1. Nutrients are measured parts per gallon, correct? So when I am diluting the nutes in a one gallon container for my 10 gallon res do I add the total amount for the res? EX. it's .25ml/gal do I add .25ml of solution to my ONE gallon mixing container or 2.5ml of solution to my one gallon mixing container for my 10 gallon res?

2. With autoflowers, if I use Advanced Nutrients do I need both Sensi Bloom and Grow?

3. Is 6 auto plants in 3 in net pots too many for 10 gallon res?

4. When the plants are seedlings do I need to do a res change or can I just top off?

5. When do I start the pump in the bubbler?

Put about 8 gallons of water in the res, then mix half the total nutes in a gallon jug, disolve well and pour it in the res. - repeat with another gallon and you are straight.

Adjust PH after all nutes are added to res.

With a smaller res. like you are planning, you will have more PH swings than a larger res. Your 6 plants will use about a gallon or so per day total.

Seedlings only need PH adjusted water - no nutes, so no res. change required.

Run the bubbler all the time.

That's the way a lot of nutes go, but some that I've seen are also per liter, which isn't the same as a gallon.

2. With autoflowers, if I use Advanced Nutrients do I need both Sensi Bloom and Grow? Yes.

3. Is 6 auto plants in 3 in net pots too many for 10 gallon res? No, that sounds right.

4. When the plants are seedlings do I need to do a res change or can I just top off? top off, check the pH

5. When do I start the pump in the bubbler? Use the bubbling the entire time.

good luck!

To be honest i have only ever seen this kind of sytem at work at other peolpes grow's,but from watching i always want to learn even about hydro sytems that i'm not useing my self.By doing this it enables you to make any hydroponic sytem your self to suite your persanal grow room. When the tub is first filled it is at the time when the root structure is not very big so i would always advice any grower useing this sytem to put enougth nutes/water in so it's just below the root sytem, this takes a little bit of trail and error but make sure that you get it right or the roots will dry.If you have it just below the plants root structure then when the pump sends air to the bubbler sytem it will just cover the roots and will keep the moist.Set at intervals so that the roots never dry but are always ready to uptake nutrients that are ready in the tub for the plant to obtain. This kind of sytem is good and bad good because it keeps the water and nutes well oxageanated bad because if used wrong the roots sytem can either go two ways dry out or be too sodden thus takeing away the whole point of the bubbler syatem. If i was to go back to hydroponics again and i have made and tryed ever one there is belive it would have to be either auto pots or even better aeroponics. There is no dought that hydroponics is the way forward in commercial growing. But i persanaly keep straying back to soil and to be honest i think the differance in yeild is not that differant if done right.......tyke.............................................................................................................................
