Stupid question #420

Hi room,

I'm still on my 1st grow and have already learned a lot mainly due to making some sweet mistakes!

I'm using a hybrid soilless system which I've come to learn can be very twitchy. Things happen fast...good and bad! I've almost killed and brought back all 7 of my plants.

Here's the question: I have some dead and nearly dead foliage at the base of the plants due to nute burn. Basically the 1st and 2nd sets of leaves. I want to cut these off, but after nearly killing (loving them to death) my plants, I'm a little gunshy to just start cutting.

The plants are White Widow 3-1/2 weeks from seeds. They are about 6"wide and 6"+ tall. I don't have a card so I can't post photos.

What is the best way to cut, where do I cut, do I even need to cut off the dead foliage?

Sorry If it's been asked a million times, I couldn't find an applicable thread.

*Thanx to all the weed geeks that went before me that made it so easy to grow big!!!!

Regards,
Okwanaught
