I admit I have no frame of reference because I have never had a record. I imagine getting a decent job would be very difficult with a record. But if one has a record as an adult it means they committed their crime as an adult. They made a choice, a poor one yes, but still it was their choice.

The consequence of making that choice means they now have to work harder. It's NO ONES fault but THEIR OWN. As an employer I would not want to hire someone that I have to trust my business to, if they had a record of theft.... would you? Likewise, if my business were a cab company I would not hire a driver with a DUI record.

Jobs will be harder to get... but there are jobs out there and if not then one should either move or start their own business. I helped a friend (who didn't have a pot to piss in) start a "Lawn Maintenance" business 4 years ago. Today he works year round and even hires help in the summer. He makes a respectable $50K a year.

Are you saying you don't know what it's like to work a 40 hour week because you can't find work or that you have never worked a 40 hour week because you were working 60 - 70 hour weeks?

If it's the latter.... you get no sympathy from me because I held down 3 jobs at a time until I was 28. 40 hour work weeks would have been a nice break.

I am actually as chill as they come. I am not rich but I am not poor either. I am middle class and happy where I am. You know what, you are right though. I cant change the world, I know that. But why do you and everybody else say do something about it then? I feel as if I am doing something about it. I stick to my beliefs, if someone fucks up I tell them, if they do a good job I tell them, if something rubs me the wrong way I say something and if someone asks my opinion on something I give them my opinion, not what they want to hear. The only way to make changes is to call it the way you see it, and if you hurt some feelings along the way they can get thicker skin and get the hell over it, and screw being politically correct.
