Stupid dimmer question….been years since I built my lights

Hey guys, this is probably a stupid question, but here goes. I built my lights years ago during the cob movement. I have Cree cxb3590’s with meanwell hlg350-1050b drivers. 8 cobs per driver basically run at close to max efficiency.…at least that was my intention 5 plus years ago. Anyway I bought some dimmers from Amazon and when I hook them up the lights don’t work at all. Remover the dimmer, back to full power. The dimmers had good reviews and came with a wiring diagram specifically noting hog drivers. I suppose I could have reversed the wires, but I’ve been out of the led game for a minute, and was relieved they even came back on after removing the dimmers. What am missing, or did I just buy junk dimmers?

I have a dimmer very similar to that for my HLG-B driver and it works. It only dims down to about 50% though. So I get a 50%-100% range. Make sure you hooked dim- (usually grey wire on the driver) to black on the dimmer and dim+ (usually purple on driver) to red on the dimmer.

It is also possible the dimmer is faulty due to being cheap Chinese junk. I recommend using WAGO clips too, don't try to twist the wires together.

For reference, this is the one I bought:
