Stunted Growth - Please Advise?

Hiya,

Got 4 seedlings at 11 days. All different strains. 3 are growing well and at the same rate but my SLH hasnt grown at all for days. She doesnt look unhealthy, just not growing? I've just started germing another SLH seed. What could be the problem? Is it just genetics, or could it be that the soil is too rich maybe ( Plagron batmix), but the others are doing fine in it?

I had 2 clones that grew at dif rates!
And they where the same but.....?

And i too had dif strains from seed grew dif rate one Ind/Sativa other.
they look healthy and that is what matters.

ok...but the other 3 are at about the same stage. What worries me is the SLH just hasnt grown at all for days, and the new leaves that havnt developed for days seems very pale. The other 3 I see development on a daily basis...

Am i worrying about nothing then?

Hmmm, ok lime thanks. I understand that plants grow at different rates but not growing at all for days at this stage doesn't seem right to me...but what do i know, thats why im on here asking lol.

Your SLH may be starting to become nute deficient. Looks like the beginning of Zinc deficiency from what I can see:

Notice the leaves are starting to "claw" and distort.
The flesh of the leaves are looking wrinkled or "bubbled" on the growing tips.

If it IS zinc deficient, in the next week you should see the following:
Interveinal Chlorosis (bleaching or yellowing in-between leaf veins) and show a bannding pattern.
Leaves will continue to warp and become thin, feather like or wispy, starting from the growing tip working its way down on the plant (leaving the leafs themselfs to become inefficient in collecting light).

Leave tips with begin to yellow and die back into a dark yellow to brown colour and spread to the leaves edges, this will work its way back to the petiole and some leaves will become completely light yellow to a white or dark yellow exept for the leaves veins, which should stay greenish. (Remember, zinc deficientcies discolourization starting from the tip of the leaf, working towards the petiole, never the opposite, if it starts from the petiole then its NOT zinc)

Growth will bunch up "on top" of eachother.

Remember when growing in soil, zinc gets locked out with a ph above 6.5.

Hope that helped? Dont worry, you caught the problem early. I suggest against feeding it any nutes until you are sure its a zinc issue. Let them do their thing for a few days and take pictures of their "progress" each day, Haze is a Sativa/mostly Sativa and does not require as much nutes as a Indica strain.

There's definately something not quite right, and what you describe about the leaves seems spot on.

I havnt actually given any nutes to any of them as I didnt think they needed any being this young and in rich soil. They're on day 13 now, going to repot soon then was planning to start feeding low levels of grow nutes after they've settled in their new pots.

You mention that zinc gets locked out above 6.5? I thought the ideal PH for soil was 6.5, thats a fine line! I read somewhere on here that you can get lockout if the PH drops below 6.5, so the water i've been giving them has been 6.55.

New leafsets on the snow white seem a bit pale to me now. Gonna flush them through with PH 6.50 and see if that helps?

Not sure if this is the right thing to do, but as they havnt had any nutes and the snow white now seems to be going a little pale im going to feed 1/8th strength grow with the 6.50 water.....

24 hours after the grow feed and they're all looking great...you live and learn!

what kind of food did u give her? i think i have this zinc defficiency also. im going to give mine 1/8 strenth 7-9-6 all purpose food. can u gimme some info on how u got her back to god health?

No problem mate.

I gave them BioBizz Grow (8-2-6). The recommended dose is 2ml-5ml per litre, so mixed approx 1/4 ml to 1 litre which done the lot of 'em.

The SLH has grown more in 24 hours than the last 3-4 days. They'll get that every other feed now and i'll slowly increase the dose. First time growing regular strains, completely different ball game.

How old are your plants? Got any pics? Maybe try flushing if you've been feeding nutes, or feed nutes if they havnt had any yet?

i havent given her any nutes.shes in rockwool.this is what she looks like today. theres new growth but very slow.shes severlly stunted.my diesel seedling is whoopin its ass.looking very healthy

i hope not. shes still standing up tough. wouldnt she have fallen over and stopped leaf growth?

Yeh maybe. I hope your right mate but that looks completely shrivelled up and brown to me. If it isnt dead it doesnt looks too far from it. If you havnt already, get a thread up as im no expert and that needs medical attention asap!

Edit - Just noticed you said you've got growth, and there does seem to be greenish leafset forming so there must be some life in it. Sorry I cant be more help, noob myself really.
