Struggling with clones

Mist them on the day you put them in. Leave your dome on completely for the first 2-3 days, on the 3rd day take the dome off for 45 seconds mist lightly and replace the dome. Keep cracking the dome once per day for a minute and put the dome back. Keep doing this and you will see roots. You shouldn't have to mist them more than 2 times but if they start drooping then go ahead, misting and putting the dome on will have perk them back up again. Some people soak their cubes in low ppm of Clonex nute solution for 24hrs. Might make a difference. Prep your dome too so it's already humid when clones go in. Also feed your plants before you cut to prep the clones you will be cutting. I have had decent success with the auto cloners but have a high failure rate for me. My go-to for when I desperately need cuttings to live is to dip them in Clonex Gel and plant them directly into solo cups in promix. Then I put the solo cups inside of the dome where the clones would be normally and use the same misting/air technique, Works very well. One last thing, I don't normally rely one 1 single clone method, It does not hurt to use all 3 techniques and see which one works for you. I always start with 5-6 cuttings and when they start to rolling I take more and more, once the method is stable so you don't waste clones. You'll dial in your technique in no time.

I went with the clone king also because my funds were low. Plan was to use that until I could afford a ez clone. I like the clone king so much and have nothing but positive things to say about it that I'll be sticking with it until the end. Plus you can buy any replacement part for it on amazon. Sometimes I use no cloning gel. Just cut and place into the cloner with 5.5 p.h.'d tap water and always get roots
it definitely works!

I have the 36 site cloner. I've went as far as putting 3 to 4 cuts in each site making it a 108 and 144 plant cloner. Hey it works. Just be sure to clean it thoroughly by taking it apart. I got lazy and thought running h202 through it would be enough last run and lost 144 clones. No biggie because I have a few moms but you can't make up for lost time.

I'm using a heat mat, tray with rapid rooters, dome, 24watt blue light, took 25 cuttings, got roots on 25. Didn't get to finish transplanting when I found out the "mothers" where all hermies. Live and learn, i'm starting with good seeds now...hopefully

I am finishing the mothers though as i was already a few weeks into flower when i found out....hash time

How do you clean it? Run h202 through wipe it down and let it dry?

i soak everything in CLR and run it for 24 hours or so , then rinse and dry... it’s go to go after that.

Yes. I ran h202 through it for about 30 minutes than took it apart and cleaned off every piece I could with a clean cloth and q-tips to reach the tight spots. I also replaced the misters. I'll be replacing them every few runs. They get gunked up and I rather replace them since they aren't that expensive for a big bag. After I cleaned the cloner I immediately took cuts from my Ghost Train Haze and they are showing roots already after 6 days. I got lazy and paid the price.

Do you run the CLR for 24 hours or do you just soak it for alittle while with CLR then put freshwater in for 24hrs? I've never heard of using CLR. I use bleach and just recently used hydrofarms physan in one of my cloners.

Is this nontoxic to plants? I'd be worried about using bleach currently I just use h2o2 wipe down and dry method.
3 - 5 PPM bleach (as supplied by civic water systems) is definitely non-toxic. or at least no one has given my pot the memo and it's cheap (what comes in your city water). If I choose to add a lot of Ca I use Calcium Hypochlorite in the form of pool shock

Don't stick the clone into the hole in the top of the rapid rooter plug. Stick it in next to the hole. Or flip it over and stick it in the skinny side.
