Hey everyone! I recently became a caregiver in state of Michigan. My mother is battling stage 3 ovarian cancer and is my patient.I started germ 25 plants (5 plants of each 5 varieties-ice,thumper,white widow,mt. Everest skunk, and kish from bcseeds.com) I'm using stealth bubbleponics with cutting edge solutions ferts. I vegged for 3 weeks in a 4'x4'x6 ceiling room with 4 10 gallon tubs with 5 plants in 2 tubs and 6 plants in the other 2 with a 400w mh. they looked awesome and no stretching 1 inch between each internode very bushy. After 3 weeks moved plants in flowering room 4x4x6 also with 400w hps 12 on 12 off after 2 weeks I removed 10 males from room which 12 females I'm happy right so now I have 3 tubs bubbleponic with 4 plants in each one. Plants r stretching a little but not bad! Week 4 of flowering I found a hermie (ice had to chop it now down too 11)Now I'm in my 5 week of flowering and my plants r too tall and stretched out 12 inches between each internode they r 5 ft tall and should be 3.5 ft tall! My buds r light and airy and plants r very top heavy I'm 4 weeks from finishing and i'm afraid they aren't going to produce much weight! So anyone have sugestions on what I did wrong?did I start too many plants for size of room? Did I vegge too long before flowering?? Should have I topped plant when the were younger? Please help thanks peace out.

check out a few videos on youtube on supercropping.. i had the same problem on my last grow of sourcream and i had to supercrop it and it worked out great.. you can also just tie them down with fishing weights and string to bring them down some, but i thought that supercropping worked great and it didn't stress my plant out at all.. i did it about two weeks or so into flowering at night when the lights came on, and in the morning when i got up and checked on them, the bud that was laying on its side 12 hours earlier was now pointing straight up at the lights.. was pretty cool to see actually, and i gained about 18 inches or so from just the one supercropping..

Hey racerboy71 thanks for the great info I'm going to check out this supercroping on utube . I read alot on this site and other sites thought I was really ready for this grow. U don't think I vegged them too long( they were any where from 10 inches to 15 inches in height when I started flowering)also I kept thinking they were too crowded for the size room so they were competing for the light! Now when u tie fishing weights to plant how heavy of weights u use and where aprox do tie on the plants??

u just want enough weight to bring the plant down to where you need it to be and at the same time not snap the branches.. you may have to re tie every week or so as the plants grow some.. just tie them up top on the tallest branches out near the ends so that they will bend easily..
i had an issue with my sourcream, it had a deficency that i wanted to get straightened out before i flowered it and it ended up getting way taller than i would have originally liked it to be before i flowered it and ended up having to supercrop it.. worked out great for me.. i was super nervous at first and just watched a few videos to get an idea of what i was doing and just did what i saw in the vids and it was cool..

I'm going to supercrop my 4 tallest plants . They r 4 1/2 weeks into flowering does this matter?? I really have no choice they r touching the ceiling of my closet lol.

How high is your light ,test by holding your hand beside your tallest bud for 10 seconds ,it shood feel warm like the sun on your skin.

Thanks racer boy I supercropped two weeks ago and it gave me about 12 to 16 inches of room in height! Now they r healed over and pointing towards the light again. Better then what I was going to do which is cut the tops off which I would have lost 1 to 2 ounces of bud! Hey besides topping and supercropping any way the first couple of weeks in flowering to keep them fuckers from stretching??

I have 6 of my 12 plants in dwc's I super-cropped the tallest ones at about 10pm last night and when I went to checked on them via wireless cameras(wireless security, grow room is in my shop across my yard) in the grow room the bent over tops had righted themselves by noon today. The lower growth has done nothing. I havnt had a strain(SSH) do it so quickly! Maybe time to fim?? any suggestions.
