Stretched plants......?

Hey so i am in my first week in on my first grow using 2 24" floro's each of them 5000k pushing 875 lumens each and just recently put up 2 30w cfl's each putting out 2050 lumens for a total of about 5850 lumens....i have 8 babies trying to grow up..... as of now i have the two floro's parallel to eachother....the two cfl's are in between the floro tubes.....

before i got the two cfl's today all i had was the two floros... and a stupid "Plant light"..... my plants are almost 4 inches tall with only the first leave sprouts out there going to get heavy and fall..... will my babies start groing out instead of up???? what can i do to keep my babies from falling over.... and is this enough light for my girls?

8 plats you will def need more light u can use the cfls and th floro tubes put them about 1-2 inches from the tops of the plant they r strecthing to reach the light u should have at least 4 leafs by the end of day 2

can you add soil to help them ? do you have pics ?

those lights are fine to get started, just lower like jmac stated ^^^^

hey yeah i don't have any pics my camara is out of order.... the thing is is the lights have been in inch away from birth and there still stretched

they have 4 leaves... the two lobed and two sketched so ya they have 4 keaves but just shooting up and not out

What about getting plant safe wires or string and tie them down by the branches, or nodes what ever they are called, so they are forced to grow width and not height?

i use 4 cfl's per plant

i had same trouble with my first grow .only i was using a 600 hps .they all streched 2 like 5 inchs tall hardly any leaves .i tryed proping them up but really was very efective .was a pain in the ass .so i repotted in bigger pots almost up 2 the first set of leaves .the stalks got thicker and they started 2 grow outwords .spliff

Your lights are probably too far away.
I have my cfl's about 1 to 2 inches from the tops of the plants. in fact my plants often grow into them.

alrigt guys i have my flos and cfls super close to the plants... i have also started to prop them up and your right it is a pain in the ass... a plan to transplant them soon.... hope my babies make it... 1 went down already.... thanks for the info

hey what strain u growing ,sativa or indinca . and some pics would help lol .and 3 gallon pots should be ok for 2 an a half ft tall
