i have a seedling that is streaching, when i transplant it can i bury it deeper and pull soil about halfway up the stem to keep it from falling over? will that cause any problems?

does the same go for a 2 foot plant? can i pull a few leaves off and bury it deeper to where the leaves were and will roots form where i pulled the leafs off?

Yes and no, respectively.
you can bury the stem of your seedling and it will be just fine.
Bring your lights closer to the top of your plants, a mere 2 inches if using CFLs.
This will stop the stretching.

You could bury your larger plant too,but what for? It will be a hassle as you will need a substantially deep planter to transplant the plant successfully, without damaging the root ball.

Good luck.

not sure about the 2 foot plant but it can be done with the seedlings, i cant see a problem to why you could not do it with the 2 foot ones, maybe some one with a bit more experiance could help you

yes its like a tomato plant can plant deper and will totally root

what i do if i plan to plant up past leaves i cut them off to stem then apply rooting jell to spots or sometimes i pull leaves off downward to expose inner stem that encourages root growth then rooting gel

good luck
