strange seedling

What could cause a young seedling to come appear with only one leaf, and the remaining leaf has a hole, surrounded by a white circle with purple edges, its also very badly bent over.

Bio Bizz all mix soil
Literally only 2 days out of the paper towel
125w cfl (18/6) 20" away (was at 10" but thought that might be problem??)
Gave it one 1/4 ml dose of root juice, recomended does is 2ml so was trying play it safe.
Temps around 22 degreess. Cant get pics on apoligies. any help would really be appreciated.

i would wait a few days and watch it. it's probably nothing. i've seen some jacked up looking sprouts that turn out fine. sprouts are bent over at first because of how they grow. it's not uncommon for the first thing to poke out of the soil to be a "stem loop", and then the plant straightens out the next day. good luck.

get that light back down now! you should be able to get that CFL about 4-5 inches from your plant without burning it.

20" is going to make it stretch until it just falls over.

I run a 200W CFL at 2"-4" without a problem, just point your fan at the lamp.

many thanks for the advice lads, its straightened up alright but its one lil leaf is gonna fall of, which will leave a lil stump like plant, just give it time. got the light back down, was scared a burnin it seein as it was so tiny,ive name it canabi retardi! :mrgreen:
