Strange Plant?

This is my first plant. Its an unknown seed growing in miracle grow potting soil. I keep it under 3-20 sum watt cfls. What i think is strange is that it didnt grow its first 5 leaf leaves till this morning and they are the sixth set of leaves. from what ive read the first 5-leafer should be the second or third. The plant is also like a month old (from seedling) and its only about 4 in. tall. Ive burnt the tips on two of the sets of leaves but only the very tip of the middle leaflets and i cut off the bottom set so some of the height might have been lost in regeneration. If thats not the case is this typical of any strain anyones ever heard of? I was also wondering if the lighting would be enough for the veg. state and if i would need to upgrade when its time to flower. I also wanted to know if a 2 liter bottle would be big enough to support the plant till after the first harvest. Ill be putting pics up as soon as i can get a camera to take some. Thanks!!!

they're all diff. environmental stresses, pH, light, all kinds of stuff goes in the equation. nothing is "normal" in this department. keep growing!

yeah, you do need more light. hopefully some of the indoor gurus can help if you don't find something in the faq.

Happy 4-20!! Today I decided after reading a few threads that I should try the staking method. I went and got some paper clips this morning and put my first 3 stakes in. 2 at the base of the main stem to hold the plant in place and one above the second leafset (its actually the third, i trimmed the first leaf set off). Here are a few pics they arent very high quality cause im taking them with my phone. The first pic is of my plant 2 days ago on the 18th. At that time i only had it under 1-27w cfl. Today I constructed A reflector out of cardboard and aluminum foil and wired it so that all three of my cfls hang directly above my baby in a triangle about an inch apart. I wanted to build a decent grow room while spending as little money as possible. My whole set up is made from scrap materials. Except for the lights and sockets. You can see it a little in the background of the other pics but like i said theyre poor quality. My box is really a box. A mini-refridgerator box to be exact. For reflective material I used one of those silver sunshades u put on cars to keep the heat out along with aluminum foil on my reflector. My pot is a 2 liter mnt dew bottle. I currently live in a dorm and Im waiting till i move into my apartment next month to get a real set-up so i can flower it with an hps bulb. If it turns out it is in fact a female I may invest in a hydro system and start taking clones before i put her in to flower. If not i'll be getting a MH system and starting a new batch of seeds.

So I read on here that some ppl use dry ice to get co2 to their plants. My question is how much should I use? I only have one plant and everything i read about it was using it with multiple plants. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The main problem with dryice, is getting a decent price, try looking at the link provided below, and call around for pricing first, a "fair price" is anywhere between $13.00 to $20.00 for one 50lb block.

I checked out that dryice website. there arent any within like an hr and half of here. Does anyone know if wal-mart still sells dry-ice. I think they use to. Anyways my plant is growing beautifully. At least in my opinion. lol. Its taken to staking pretty well. I had to stake it again today. 3 hrs after staking it the foliage had already turned all the way back up. I think Im gonna go with staking every other 3 nodes all the way around the pot and back into the center.

PS: I still dont know how much dry ice I should use for a single plant.
