Strange phenomenon or genetic mutation?

the water passing thru the pot isn't in there long enough to get a reading that's true its gonna be just about the same as what you poured in every time...... if you were checking the ph and ppm of runoff in a passive hydro system w the intention of reusing the solution I would totally understand......... otherwise its a complete waste of time.......and I understand soil less pretty much is passive hydro but that's just not how you check the ph of soil ......if you read back transplanting top dressing and adding more lime were my recommendations before the flip

Yes you absolutely recommended that. You have basically held my hand through this grow and I give you mad reps for it!
I did my transplant about 2 weeks before the flip, I didn't get the bat guarno but did add more lime and soil...I was using veg and bloom nutes and recently switched to just bloom. That cut out ALOT of N...I'm assuming this is why she yellowed out? The other two aren't yellowing but they aren't packing on the buds like this one yet either. She's been in a hurry since the flip...as far as the runoff pH...what your saying makes complete sense to me. I don't check it like I used to. I have a cheap probe but I don't put too much faith in that either. HOWEVER...my first grow...remember the chemical burn grow?? Lol...I could pH to 7...check my runoff and it was at 4.5...so IMO I think it is able to detect the soils pH to an EXTENT but probably only if it's an EXTREME difference...JUST my thoughts How's life treating you Woody?

Melissa - If you are having lots of problems with pH. I'd suggest trying a new nutrient system. I did this 2 years ago and am VERY glad I did.
I killed everything with synthetics. could never get a plant to grow correctly beginning to end. Then I stumbled upon General Organics one day. Read the side of the box(GO BOX, full line of their nutes for 4 plants full life in 5gal.) and it says right on it. No pH adjustments required. You can feed every time you water all the way till the final week. I've run to 3 days before harvest and have had no "Rice Krispies" weed...(snap crackle pop)

Thanks Stew...to be honest I haven't had ANY pH issues this grow AT ALL!! The pH discussion came about after my girl started yellowing. It was suggested to check my runoff pH...but I think the problem is simply SHES HUNGRY!!

Yeah. just needs a little extra Nitrogen.
My Trainwreck currently takes 15mL of BioThrive per gallon(10mL Bloom, 5mL Grow)
But the rest of my plants only take 10mL of BioThrive Bloom per gallon
If I don't feed her this way she will turn completely yellow. lol... it's happened 2 times before already.

lifes good..........bunch of assholes knocking on my door today.......4.5 runoff would have been caused by a salt build up washing thru but to say that you could detect an extreme swing in ph is correct.........best thing you could do for that plant would be to transplant into a pot of ocean forest and water a couple times w distilled........ you do have some fade from a lack of nitrogen but your big problem is temp and calcium ........im not trying to hold your hand I just wanna see you out grow that fukr vega
