Flourescents are better, but if u use that, dont put them directly under. Have them to the side of primary light zone, and pref. under a dome while germ'ing

correct, and can run 120 or 240v the digital ones auto detect that for you, they got the "S plug" (what you got there) connection on a 12" cord off the ballast, then a standard power cord in the other end. (Like any PC uses) (This you plug into a timer, timer into wall.)

Digital ballast also allows u to use metal halide (bulb u have there, veg bulb) AND HPS (flower) bulbs

I also have a 400w HPS bulb for when I get to that point so that's awesome!

I would use CFLs or t5 florescent's to start out but you could use the 400w, just make sure its not too close, it will be a lot of light and heat for seedlings

I think I'll germ with the 200w clear bulb I got with a dome. Then when I start the veg I'll use the one in the pictures above, then when I flower I can go to the 400w HPS. Sound like a solid grow plan?

thats a plain ol' incandescant bulb.... basically..... no, dont use that.

Go buy a big CFL bulb, biggest ur local store has that fits into a standard socket... (prolly be a 150-200 equiv. bulb) cool white, not warm. drop that in that fixture for ur seedlings. wont cost u $10

Fck yeah man that's a good light u need a ballast tho and I don't use a air cooled hood I just do thisimage.jpg
See the little fan on the side it's on a pulley light goes up so does my little fan I also have a carbon filter bit higher up
