True, but a lot of the old beliefs are perceived very wrong. They are as much myth as modern day religion.
People sit around and argue those as facts with no problem, the only difference is the masses buy into it.
I do agree with your logic to some extent though, you have to "see" it to believe it. Obviously, I have not seen and broke down these tablets with my own eyes, but I have done enough research for it to make more sense than any modern explanation for how everything came to be, since most of that is just shit fluffed up with a few facts.
You're right as well on another point, a lot of the old writings do bring some truth to a few modern day religious beliefs, but also explain how those beliefs have been warped to something completely different. What I've read has explained a lot of how these explanations are based on truth but do not hit the nail on the head, and just add a bunch of random shit with no meaning.
I can argue whatever I want as fact, just as you can argue what you believe is a myth even though another may not take it as myth. Don't be hypocritical here man! I'm not trying to change your belief, I do not care what you believe but I do agree with you on some points. I'm simply saying, in my mind, I do know how things have come to be to an extent. Nothing is set in stone, a magic butterfly could come down the sky tomorrow and trump anything I've ever believed in, as well as the entire world. All I'm saying is, if you do the research, and have an open mind, I do believe you would come up with a similar conclusion which being; this explains things a LOT more well than modern religion, and current beliefs. Gets into detail, actually explains some beginning.
Sadly I don't have the time to explain all of my years and years of research on the subject (both sides of the subject, you cannot believe one thing without thoroughly going through the other) but I do believe you should check out some of the translations sometime. At the very least, it will open a closed mind! (not just pointed at you!)
