Strange Bug On My Plants: Help!!!

Hello, currently I am growing 8 plants outdoors in my yard. Just today I went to check on my plants and noticed several of the same bugs crawling on my plants. At least 6 and I'm sure I've over looked a few. I just need some insight on more experienced growers than my self! They resemble lady bugs, but much smaller. They're dark brown/ black with cream colored markings also. I have attached a couple pictures so you can get a better look. I have 2 questions: does anyone know what they are, and should I be concerned? I know it's stupid, but I haven't bothered with any sort of pesticide other than a bit of cedar oil a while back which ended up damaging my plants(oops!). Any feedback would be appreciated.

was it three millimeters? could be the 20 spotted lady beetle they feed on fungus (mostly mildew on leaf surfaces); powdery mildew

Thanks a lot for the help! That looks very similar to what I found, so that's what it must be. If that's true then it's harmless, and they seem to be working in my favor. Oh, and I'm a medical grower with a pitbull protecting the premises from the any local thieves lol ;)

Magnums do a good job also.I guess thers 500 different kinds of ladybugs not all are good. now that you see them ask yourself why are they are there and what you should be doing to treat the underlying problem.
