Strains for back pain?

Both Seedsman and Speakeasy Seedbank happen to have Bodhi's Black Triangle in stock right now. That strain is one of the most powerful and narcotic like cannabis strains that I know of. Excellent pain relieving qualities. It's one of Bodhi's best known strains. I'd get a pack while you still can. Most places are out of stock.

I have bad ankle, knee and leg swelling from a past broken ankle/crush bone in foot. Lately I find the strain that gives me my best/greatest pain relief of my inflammation and some back issues from work. Ace Seeds version of either Golden Tiger or Killer A5 Haze They just take for everything to grow/flower but they’ve been worth it.

I've found that strains with high levels of myrcene work for me for arthritis and chronic nerve pain in my back and legs. A sativa with a lot of myrcene is my preference because it doesn't put me to sleep in high doses. Blue Dream and Lime Sherbet strains mostly, but everyone is different. YMMV
I will agree myrecene dom strains tend to be good for pain tbh in my experience for back pain and arthritis or osteoporosis most folk i know tend to find it needs to be indica leaning too obviously there will be some exceptions but thats been what ive noticed working for folks with those sorts of problems

There is research regarding THCV and its use for inflammation and related pain. You can do a google search for "THCV pain" and read some of the research. High THCV strains would be African sativas. Ethiopian contains decent levels of THCV.
Try Diet Durbin THCV:THC. Aprox 7% THCV, 7%THC, and 2 - 5 % CBD. I have one indoor plant growing now to test, 19 more seeds for outside.

For pain relief, arthritis in particular, I use ANY good strain. I haven't found any difference. Just infuse coconut oil and add one tablespoon of DMSO per cup of oil. Rub it on and (at lest for me) the pain is gone. Be sure to be clean before using it because DMSO can carry bacteria thru your skin just like it does the THC.

We are looking for several good uses for this strain, diabetes, pain, and not only inflammation but swelling from injuries.

Anyhow, with super good harvests the last two years we are only going to grow the Diet Durbin next year.

In short, for your arthritis pain, this is simple and it works, and I've used any available bud to make it. It just doesn't seem to matter.

I find heavy indicas like an afghan or hindu kush seem to do well in that regard. Additionally. The tropicals they have out today are PHENOMINAL for pain (for my body atleast). Neck pain, elbow pain, back pain, rub some on, rub it in really good, 39 min later pain free. Everytime. Worth a shot.
For a pain rub I use regular c-oil with a table spoon of DMSO per cup, don't forget the lecithin. The DMSO does't mix with the infused coconut oil so melt it, shake it up, put it in the frig, and shake it every few minutes until it's set up. That keeps it from seperating and gives an even mix.

The DMSO carries the THC and CBC right to the pain for almost instant relief. I believe the THC stops the pain just because, but the CBD goes on to stop it by reducing the inflamation. I don't know any of this to be fact, but it's just what I think.

A nice heavy blueberry indica is good for me. Rolex og kush from devil's harvest. I used to get black packistani hash that was speedy but good for pain. I have intractable muscle spasms so I go for more indica usually but there are a lot of sativas that also help. I like some over ripe sativas for sleeping. Grow lots of strains until you find the best meds for you. You can smoke the mistakes.
have you tried kosher kush? from what i understand it has shown great results with muscle spasms / parkinson's patients.

I tried some in amsterdam and was unimpressed. But hell you never know with coffee shops. Some of the strains there are clone only and grown to perfection and are incredible but some are just from seed that the bud tender grew. The grey area is probably the best shop in amsterdam. I got some gorilla glue there that was about the stinkiest dankest bud I've ever had. I had an 8th wrapped up in 3 baggies and had that inside of 3 of those smell proof baggies and I still stunk up the train. Reminded me of real road kill skunk. Great for spasms. I've never had gg4 that was even in the same ballpark.

bummer on the KK. i have some seeds, but looking to next year's spring to give them a shot.

i've got some GG4 on deck for this spring. never grown it before. your story gives me a modicum of hopeful expectation. i have heard from others that GG4 is great as medicine. pain/arthritis/insomnia/appetite to name a few. checks off many boxes for the patient i'm growing for.

how many times have you tried to grow out GG4 to produce what you got in amsterdam?

While CBN doesn’t get people particularly high, it can make them sleepy. In fact, it’s known as the cannabinoid with the greatest sedative properties. Consuming 5 mg of CBN is the equivalent of taking 10 mg of Valium – but with only 10% of Valium’s psychoactive effects.

My pain rub is only infused coconut oil with DSMO added. Pain relief in seconds. The DMSO helps the meds get to the pain faster. It seems like the THC goes to work instantly on the nerves while the CBD reduces inflammation. Anyhow, it works, it's easy, it's fast, and it's fairly cheap.

My recipe is one cup of infused coconut oil to one tablespoon full of DMSO. Mix it a little warn and whip with a whisk as it cools.

This stuff really does work to relieve pain.

DMSO is basically a pain reliever used by athletes. It penetrates the skin and can carry meds with it. Because of that you should be clean when you use it. A lot of the time the pain is gone before it gets rubbed in all the way. I get mine from Amazon.

I have dabbed a little RSO on my knees and then rubbed the DMSO on. That works, but the infused oil is better. I just takes a little.
