Strain x Strain.....right and left side mean anything?

Bubba kush x super silver haze. when bk is plugged into the right side can any information be assumed by this notation? In other words. Is male placed on right and female on left or viceversa?

anyone know?

if you want your cross to have more bk charectoristics then make the bk your female

that is helpful to know but the answer im looking for would look something like this.

bubba kush x bagseed

bubba kush because it is expressed on left side of equation is a female

bagseed because it is expressed on right side of equation is a male.

does this hold true in any way? male on left female on right. or does it matter?

In genetic cross notation the dominant
strain should go first, followed by the
additional cross.

If you cross BK with BS and your seeds
produce BK dominant traits, then you have
BK x BS. If your seeds produce traits not
indicative of BK, then your BS traits were
dominant, thus BS x BK.

The first strain should designate the
dominant traits that the seed will produce.

Now this is how genetic notation works.
But this is not how "everyone" notates
their cross. But if you want to use standard
genetic notation... dominate traits followed
by the additional cross. Male/Female isn't
the factor for the placement.

I read on Jokers Breeding thread on this forum that female is in the first slot and male in the second slot but that not everyone does it correctly

Yes, and I'm having a senior moment and can't remember.

But there is a certain placement for the seed parent (female) and the pollen parent (male).

Ordering by dominance would make no sense reading a breeding chart. How would you be able to tell which one was which sex?

A simple cross is one thing BKxBS, but say you're crossing 2 F1's with a land race it would look something like LRx((BKxBS)x(BBxTW)).

See the need to have the males and females in certain order?

I agree with the male and female.. i just don't know which one.. I would assume the female was first.. then male.. female/(crossed with)male

This is what my memory was telling me it was. Just wasnt sure. Female first and male last.
