Strain Suggestions for Epic Indoor Grow

Hello fellow growers ,

Me and a friend are currently in the planning stages of setting up a medium sized grow room with full attention given to quality. No corners will be cut and we are probably looking at a budget around $5,000 once it's all said and done.

With that said, the plan is to use a 3rd room and completely turn it into a purpose built hydroponic grow room. While a location hasn't been nailed down yet it's safe to assume the room will be at least 10' x 10' at a minimum. Probably going to go with a 4x4 or 5x5 grid of buckets so anywhere from 16 to 25 plants grown under absolutely ideal conditions (4x1000w+ lights, organic nutrients, perfect water chemistry, 1500PPM+ C02, 72-76 F, everyday TLC, etc, etc).

My question to all of you is what strains should we been looking towards. The goal is to have decent selection of strains that all grow similarly (height, width, flowering times, nutrient needs, etc) so that we aren't stuck with just the same thing over and over again .

I'm thinking a good mix of hybrids with 1 or 2 leaning heavily indica with a solid 50/50 hybrid and hopefully some strains that grow relatively short but have sativa dominant effects. So far I've been at it for a few days reading multiple strain reviews and grow journals and the strains standing out so far include: Sensi star, shiva skunk, Jack herer, Vortex, and Warlock.

As far as "cash cropping" goes we probably will be selling 60% to 70% of our yields to recoup operating costs as well as to reinvest into perfecting the set up, so yield is a priority only behind strain quality and complexity; besides we couldn't smoke it all if we wanted. Figured it's better to share the love.

Anyways, you input is, as wlays, greatly appreciated.

Had great luck with Sin city seeds sour flame...easy grow, huge yield,,very potent...You didnt state your level of grow experience..i personally like a good sativa dom..but wouldnt suggest alot of strains to a newb grower..i have grown the og 18 and it was one of the tougher grows..try something like nirvana black jack..easy grow..deadly potent if the right pheno is found...sin city sour jefe was a easy grow crazy yield, weird buzzy head high..i would stick with indicas if your just starting out....so many strains so little time

Breeders Boutique DOG feminized (very very potent)(needs support or tie-downs to spread her apart)
DNA Lemon OG Kush (fast flowering low yield amazing quality) (needs support or tie-downs to spread her apart)
Female Seeds C99 (8 week or less tropical fruit flavored sativa, bushes out and stretches, requires support)
Reserva Privada OG 18 is another good one if you like OGs
Connisseur Genetics East Coast Sour Diesel Haze has some nice yielding phenos if you like the longer flowering high yielding plants that are tall. very potent and strong acrid smoke smell.
Breeders Boutique Cheese Surprise - sweet aroma and taste, decent yield, tall plant, dense buds. feel it in body and mood, good daytime smoke.

if you have 5000 to spend you might look into LED lights. Stack a bunch cree 18w LED bulbs in there. 10x10 room you say? 5 - 10 drop-down sockets and put 7 2-way splitters on each socket. this will put you at 40-80 sockets. 18 watt bulbs would put you at 720-1440 watts of LEDS. the drop downs are about 7 bucks each and the spliters about 1.50 . each.

about 1700 bucks will get you over 1400w of LED. 8 sockets per drop down and 10 drop downs in the 10x10 room. that is probably your cheapest option that will work good, the only downfall is reflectors, hanging 10 different light fixtures, dealing with cords. Positive is that it is only about half price of the good LED panels.

I really liked Someguys new DIY LED setup. looked great but his vegging training skills are insane

If you are a for profit grower======== PE & BD & NYCD should all be on your short list, been a mainstay in east coast pro rooms for years now for a reason. Yield/bag appeal/taste/stone is all top notch imo....

Keep seeing mention of the og18..I had a little trouble dialing that shit..first grow with it was hydro straight lucas formula with GH nutes..second time straight organic grow FF soil..shit every pheno was so viney and low yielding..That being said it was however the best tasting and smelling strain to date ive ran so far..potency was just perfect..loved the effect so much i was hoarding the shit..lol..ended up crossing the pheno i kept to a sour flame male..wish i wouldve kept it around but im sure ill find something just as nice in that cross..sour flame from sin city kicks major ass
