Too many variants that you have control over effect the end result in relation to size, color, taste, smoothness of smoke and overall potency, all of which are observed and praised (and sometimes not so praised) once you are looking at the finished product. It would be nearly impossible to eye-ball a strain once it's dried, BUT you might be able to get some suggestions of what it looks like if there are pics of it during veg and/or flowering, and for common folk, they'll only be able to tell you indica or sativa, but a few vets like fletch might be able to tell u what's it looks similar to
