Storing Pollen

When storing pollen, is it a good idea to store the pollen along with the flower and/or anthers (small 'pods' the pollen is on):?:
Will the plant matter - flower and anther - increase moisture and in turn increase the chances of mold:?:
The open sacks / flowers werent entirely dry when they were picked

(the pollen will be stored in a glass container in a refridgerated environement.)

any advice is welcome and thanks for your time...

Freeze-dried pollen does not equal frozen pollen. Native Americans use pollen in ceremonies (mostly corn pollen but) and simply store it in jars. Place a silica gel packet in to absorb moisture and keep jar sealed tightly. Like any organic matter it will degrade over time.

Freeze drying does just as the name implies and dries materials by driving the moisture out. Ever see anything come from your freezer that didn't sweat as it was exposed to room temps? Exact opposite of the goal of freeze drying.
