storing leaves for hash?

hey guys.

i have harvested one and a half of my crop. still have 2 more plants and a half left to chop.
i didnt want to make any hash untill i had harvested all of my plants and then use all the leaves together. which wont be for another 3 weeks time,

so basically my question is, how do i store the sugar leaves for 3 weeks?
can i just dry them out and put them in a box or somthing till the time comes round?
ive also herd that you put them in the freezer? is that right?

sorry if this question has been asked before.

thanks
peace:joint:

I dry them out then put them in my freezer. What method are you using to make the hash? It takes quite a bit of trim to make a decent amount of hash. I usually save up a few harvests worth of trim myself. Good luck!

thanks man. when they are dry, do i put them in ziploc bags, then in the freezer?
i have never made hash before, so im not to sure yet. but im just looking through all the different techinques. what do you recommend being the best and getting the most out off?
do you think il still be able to get a decent amout of hash from 4 4ft plants? i know you dont no what they look like, but just an estimate. like is it worth it. because i do really want to do it. even if its just a gram.its all a learning process and experience :D

when ive got all my trim il weigh it and post the weight to see if its worth making hash with.

You are harvesting the trichs, not the leaf material.

If you are doing bubble hash you dont even have to dry the leaves out.

i need to store them for three weeks though.
could i just put them in the ziploc bag then straight in the freezer to store without drying?
bare in mind, whenit comes round to makeing the hash. i want all options open for me. because im still not sure what technique to use yet.

Few things you can do. If you are making hash or oil you could set the oven to 250, once it's preheated put in a tray with your trim and turn off the oven. 15-20 min and it should be dry. You can also dry like you do buds, then jar. At any point you can freeze, but I'd personally dry first. You could use freezer bags, but I prefer jars. Main thing is that it be air tight.

I place the trim in freezer bags as I don't have enough room in my freezer for jars (guys gotta eat) just make sure you get all the air out of the ziploc and it is sealed and you should be fine. I have always made hash "the old fashioned way" with a screen that you filter the trics through, then wrap in cellophane then newspaper, soak the newspaper, heat at about 200 for 10-15 minutes, take out and press with a rolling pin, repeat to desired thickness. But I think my next batch I am gonna buy a bubble bag set and try that method. As for trim to hash ratio I believe it is about 10 to 1 (10 grams of trim = 1 gram of hash) If I am wrong someone please correct me. Let me know if you have anymore q's.

Also reserving my trimmings in freezer, however i am not seperating sugar leaves i am throwing all leaf compost and trim to dry in the same bag and then freeze.. i know you will all tell me to seperate the sugar leaves however with 1 plant trim ot wasnt necessary, saving this trim to add more to it. Are fan leaves and stems to be discarded? Ive been throwing all trik together. Will be seperating leaves next harvest to add to this. So. Fan leaves....add to the mix of my hash (old fashioned screen & press) thanks fam. Never had time to make hash but love it and dont want to waste my tree ✌ thanks

i just stick all my trim in tupperware containers and freeze it till i get enough to make it worth it. freezer bags would work just as well. as long as your container is air tight it should be fine.
i don't keep stems, and i usually don't keep fan leaves unless i can actually see trichs on them

Do fan leaves contribute to the hash making process I just trimmed a single plant it was not necessary to separate sugar leaves from fan leaves as it was just one plant I will have to save more trimming from my next Harvest however never made hash before I do enjoy the way it medicates so if somebody could let me know am I wasting my time saving family leaves and stems to throw in the hash mix should they be discarded or are they beneficial to the hash making process I currently have them mixed with the sugar leaves from one plant. Let me know
