Hi people just a quick question,
Can i store my bud??

the reason i ask is because i read (i fink on the facts page) that a certain time after drying the THC starts to turn into useless canibinoids (spellings abit dodgy i no lol). :?:?

If there is any way to aviod this plz share...
thanks for reading fellow stoners :joint:

ya you can store your bud, your best bet is probably in a sealed jar but im not sure how long you can keep it in there

cheers...

prefer the air tyt jar the most but again i dont no the length of time tht it can be kept there :(

make sure the bud is 100% dry...to the point where the stalk snaps b4 you store..

and if stored in the freezer in airtight packaging..it can be stored for several months...but make sure its air-tight

if im drying out completly b4 storing how will i bring mositure back into them ?? toooo dry gives a harsh smoke i find.

that is true...nobody likes harsh smoke....but if it is properly cured b4 you store you should be fine...but to bring back moisture i like to put some grapfruit peal in the bag for a day or 2 but no more then that because peel rots quick....i find this method makes the bag smell amazing

I would recommend those mason type jars for long term storage, obviously a better solution would be to store them at my house, but my best guess says that's not going to happen, so use mason jars. It'll keep for years this way. Another twist on putting moisture back in the weed, according to the knowm, is parsley.
Peace

You could also do the seal-a-meal thing, but there expensive. No matter which way you choose, keep it in a dark place.
Peace

I'm not sure I'd describe Cannabinoids as being useless, they are the chemical compounds that get you stoned! However, what I think you mean is THC degrading into Cannabinol or CBD, which is a less desirable compound than THC.

The biggest causes of THC degrading into CBD are light, air and heat. So once your bud is dried you want to store it in a sealable glass jar, kept in a cool dark place. Make sure you 'burp' the jar every day for 10 minutes or so for the first couple of weeks which will allow any remaining moisture out of the jar and help prevent any mould of fungus getting a hold. Burping is just opening the jar for 10 mins or so and then sealing it again.

Glass jars are best as they impart no flavour, steel and plastic can impart a metallic and plasticky taste to the curing bud.

Pop in a lemon/orange/lime rind for a citrusy flavour!

that idea with the lemon rind is sweet babygrow, but lemon flavor is one of the strongest found in nature so just a tiny piece will do it;)
