Still not ready?

ok so i think the whole point that my og kush is taking so long is because i havnt fed it nutes in like 2 months i fed about 4 times the first month. im now over 3 months of flowering. i have orange hairs that are curled up but still have sum white ones spittin out. the leaves are mostly yellow. im bad at percentages but there is at least sum amber on the bigger nugs i havnt been able to get to the smaller ones. should i just chop and cut my losses and start on the next grow? or should i let it go until friday when i get clones?

oh and when i say i fed her the first months i mean the first month of flowering i got it as a teen clone, from a reputable dispensary.

Hey man, if you got some amber trichomes then you are able to clip the branches that have ripened buds. I'm not EXACTLY sure what your whole situation is like (people like pics just so they can give you better and more correct feedback) but i'd have to say that it sounds like your plants have been hungry for nutes, so development has been stalled. I'd say that you should clip any of the mature buds this friday (the day i'm guessing is the latest you're going to ride these plants out til) and take what has been able to mature into ripened buds with amber and milky trichomes. I don't think that any of the buds that haven't even devoloped yet will be worth anymore wait if it has been 3 months and your plant looks like it's near the end because if nutrient deficiency. But at least some buds somehow survived to full maturity without nutes for 2 straight months, that's very unlikely as it is...

theres pictures i took monday if u go to that thread "wanna kno if your plants are finished" or sumthin close to that u kno the one i mean i assume? there near the last page but yea they havnt changed much.

If the trichs are 85% cloudy and 5% amber, it's a preference thing. I don't like a ton of amber. I would research the strain, some hairs are just stubborn on some strains and don't orange up, some strains will foxtail. 12 weeks and massive deficiency...tough call. I'd say chop based on your trich assessment, but those pics make me believe it is not ready.

i know theres still white hairs and amber trichs its fuckin weird. but i have all the right nutes for next go. i might crop tonight or wait till friday, when i get my clones idk.

I read though your enitre other thread. I think you have something backwards. More amber is a body couchlock stone, while the head high comes from clearer trichs...generally speaking. The other thing I will say is that patience is rewarded. You have got so much time into this, make sure you are going the right way...don't get chop happy (i'm getting that way at the moment as well).

Also, throw that bitch in the dark for 48-72 hours prior to chopping.

No dude I totally get the trichome thing I just dnt understand y I have white hairs still comin out when I have like 10 percent amber trichs. And yea I'm gonna chop Friday to make room for new clones that will get much better treatment.

hairs dont mean a thing...thricomes is all that you should care about . after all what gets you high? hairs or thrichs? pick it when theres more amber for a body high or pick it now for a more head high...but even saying that there are so many differnt cannabinod mixtures in each strain that affect how you feel it. From my experience with og kush i like it when its picked when its mostly cloudy with a little amber so i get the energetic effect its known for but get that body high i looove so much

The hairs don't mean anything? What about bud swell? And I dnt recall smokin weed with white hairs. Just sayin.

808toker is right... Even though i see what you are saying about never smoking anything that had white hairs, it IS true that the pistils (hairs) are known to be VERY misleading about when to harvest with certain strains... Definitely go by the trichomes, even if your bud hairs are white, the'll be ready when the trichomes say they are ready... And as for calyx swelling, it has nothing to do with color either. I have a strain that the calyxs swelled up when the hairs were still ALL completely white, and THEN the hairs started to turn WEEKS later. So the plant is never a sure thing when it comes to all other variables such as pistil color, calyx swell, aroma, or leaf yellowing. Trust in your trichomes bud. And like 808toker said, don't get too anxious to chop. When you're in the flowering stage, there are MANY different things that can stall/prolong when your harvest window will occur. Stress, light getting to your plants during their period of darkness, nutrient deprivation, overwatering, underwatering, and clipping too much (fan leaves) can all result in the plant's growth process slowing or even coming to a complete hault until the plant is "happy" again. Putting all of this into consideration, you can still salvage all of your time and effort and still get what you are looking for. Sometimes things just take longer than expected, in your case it's way longer...

last plant i grew i chopped it about 2-3 weeks early because i could not wait any longer and was very unsatisfied with the results if i were you i would wait a bit longer before you waste your time like i did also your next grow you might want to think about growing more than one plant

1 I already chopped her check my posts. The perfect head high that I wanted. 2 my time was not wasted, I considered my self successful. And 3 I grew 2. One GDP that was done earlier.I was just testing the waters. Now I have 6 sour diesels in veg.
