Still confused with this whole SOG thing

With that being said, I am aware that you take a clone and as soon as they it has roots....let the flowering commense.....

Here's a quote from one2threeBUDS journal:
the flowering time for GDP is around 60-65days
I knew that most strains can take as long as 80 days (give or take few, strain dependant of course). Wouldn't that defeat the purpose though of doing SOG??? I believe one2three had his plants in a soil mix (will check later)

I was under the impression that a smaller plant would mature faster. WTF?????

If someone can clarify, why would it make it faster (if grown for the full cycle)??

Missin' something here.

Thanks for sheddin' some light on this crew,

Its all strain dependent. there are many strains that take 60 days, as there are that take 80 and even some that take over 100. Just flower for as long as it should be done is all. FWIW not everyone flowers the clones out right after they root, there is usually a small amount of veg time 1-2 weeks.

The whole concept is not to grow fast... that doesn't happen... the goal is grow MORE plants smaller in a space to fit more and focusing mainly on the main cola instead of branching. This also helps with space when your trying to do a perpetual harvest... my two cent....
